Great food and open late! I actually found this place by accident when it was super late and nothing else was open. I was expecting the worst, but it turned out to be a spot we now go to regularly. Their sopas are excellent — full of flavor and served in generous portions, with tortillas and toppings on the side.
My go-to, though, is the Carne Asada Wet Burrito. The portion is huge — my wife and I usually share one. (Please don’t ever change this!) The tacos are also fantastic — flavorful and a great size. Love that this place is around and open late!

We have been here many times. Great place for Mexican food. Consistently tasty and fresh. Today we had the 2 carne asada taco plate, and shrimp Al mojo de ajo (garlic shrimp).

I stopped here after googling burrito shop near me. It was close enough so I gave it a try. I ordered a California Burrito and five rolled tacos the lady at the front took my order pretty quickly and my food was out in about 10 minutes. No complaints

My recent experience at Los Panchos Taco Shop was disappointing. I ordered a California Burrito with chicken instead of meat, and it was terrible. The french fries were old and burnt, tasting as if they had been reheated multiple times. While the salsa was good, the portion of chicken in the burrito was incredibly small, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. This visit was a far cry from my previous positive experiences at the restaurant. It was truly a disappointing dining experience.

Somehow they managed to take a classic San Diego trashy Mexican place and make it not great. How do you do that? No idea. However, their fish burrito is soggy and lame, their rolled tacos are salty and coffee with cheese and tomatoes when you order “everything on them”, the breakfast burrito is soggy and lame, and the California burrito is soggy and lame. Maybe you’re getting the idea, but everything is soggy. You could probably understand why, when they wrap everything in tin foil and then tape it shut somehow. Not entirely sure why they do this, but I spent probably half the time of my evening unwrapping these things. Totally unnecessary.
My suggestion, go to one of the Berto Brothers. Or, really anywhere else. Not a fan. Two stars because one of their hot sauces was actually pretty good. Although, they don’t even give you very many hot sauces when you order to go, and they refuse to let you use their hot sauce bar, because apparently that’s for dine-in only. If I wanted one tiny container of hot sauce per gigantic burrito, I would probably just stop eating Mexican food altogether.

Food was good and portions were very good! My son asked for a chimichanga and boy was that burrito HUGE! Prices were a bit much but with inflation it’s expected. We definitely will be coming back! Love the red salsa was spicy but a bit bland but still good to have to add on our food.

The food here is average at best but the service takes top tier in being the problems this place has to offer. The staff, particularly one lady, always seems upset and has an unpleasant attitude, which makes the experience uncomfortable. While the food itself is decent, the biggest issue is the inconsistency with the Surf and Turf. Every time I order it, I either get very few shrimp (2-3 pieces) or none at all (what’s even more irritating is I’m always tipping heavy every time I go) It’s frustrating and disappointing. Given the poor service and lack of attention to detail, I don’t think it’s worth returning. I’d recommend checking out Taqueria by El Prieto 2 or Sayulitas for a better experience. Overall, a 5/10.

Cinco de Mayo service was horrible and food looked great, but was not good…. over cooked carne asada, salad shell was stale and queso and meat need to be in the quesadilla that I ordered . After the experience, II honestly can not recommend this to place to anyone… save yourself disappointment and go to in and out and wait in the line.

Ordered Carne Asada fries and 5 rolled tacos. The fries were not warm at all, the meat, everything was not warm, and I am not one to send food back.
The rolled tacos we ate second and they were warm but a bit soggy and the ends had no meat/insides.
They had 5 salsas that were self serve, 1 was spicy, the rest were bland.
Absolutely not worth $31 with 2 drinks.
If the food came out hot I’m sure it would have been better. There were 3 people waiting on to go orders so I guess they just don’t care about making quality food.
