A little language barrier had them place my order of menudo for a mojito. But once the actual order was taken, the tripe soup cane out. It broth definitely had a stomach taste. The tripe wasn’t overly cook and still had a firm texture. By adding the chili oil and garnishes, it added an extra element to the flavor of the soup thus cutting down the stomach beef taste.
Service was good, beside the miss understanding they were tentative and responded quickly.
When we came in there was one person waiting for a Togo order and one group of two were seated and into their meal.
I came here because I had gone to other locations before and I enjoyed the food.
I noticed two more groups come in and sit in booths across from us.
They were seated and given house chips and salsa.
We were not.
I don’t understand why we were skipped.
It clearly was standard practice.
I didn’t ask why we just waited for our food.
The person who was waiting for a Togo order was still waiting and by now it had to be about 10 minutes, a delivery service came in and picked up a order and The person waiting was a bit upset about the wait.
Shortly after that our order arrived.
Food was amazing.
We got steak tacos, churros, Mexican corn , plantain and the special which was SUPPOSED to be fish and shrimp tacos. The item is on the bottom of a separate menu and it CLEARLY said 3 shrimp, fish tacos.
Yet the waitress came back and asked me if I wanted shrimp OR fish.
This would pretty much be the same item as from the original menu. Only difference would be there was cheese in the bottom or the shell.
PRO: Good food
CON: Service isn’t streamlined

As happy hour was winding down, I tried to flag my server down to order another drink and an appetizer. She said she’d be right with me, but went to three other tables first. By the time she got to me, it was 3 minutes past the end of happy hour, and I had to pay full price.
I ordered enchiladas with no onions or lettuce, but it arrived covered in lettuce. She said she would take it back and have it remade. Judging by the amount of lettuce I picked off the top, I’m pretty sure they just scraped the lettuce off and put more sauce & cheese on top. As for “no onions,” well, see the picture.
All of that said, everything tasted very good. My pomegranate margaritas were delicious, and I loved the flavor of the enchiladas. All my issues were related to the service.
