Anytime we go to a new Mexican place I always try the Churi-pollo. So I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable on the subject. I have 1 word… AAAA-MAZING! Loved the skillet for the chicken and veggies! That’s a medium beer in the Pic btw will definitely be back!

We recently found this restaurant by chance near Ocean Isle Park after some evening pickleball under the lights. Friendly service with a nice atmosphere, a bit chilly. Chips and salsa are gratis and were tasty. Unfortunately, my tres enchiladas plate was made from a overly tomato flavored sauce, more similar to spaghetti sauce than authentic red enchilada sauce. The flavors were underwhelming for such a nice atmosphere filled with exuberance and a nice young staff. I want to give the food a 3.5, but can’t give a 4, as the authentic flavors are missing.

Arrived at 515pm on a Saturday. About 25 tables and 8 barstools here. About half were filled when we got there and there were people waiting when we left with a full dinning room on Memorial Day weekend. Plenty of staff on hand for the evening. Service was good. Food was good. Atmosphere was good. Pricing was perfect. Dinning room and bathroom were clean. However, this restaurant is pretty much located at the end of the world and finding everything needed to wow me with authentic Mexican food is miles away from here. I applaud this restaurant for doing it. Literally, for where this restaurant is they’re doing an amazing job. We’ll be back as we travel to calabash about three times a year. I would suggest trading in the Jaritos Mandarin for Mango. I believe the Mango is one of the best soft drinks on the planet.

We love to support local new business and this restaurant was amazing! Sergio and the servers were so nice and the food was incredible! I had the Shrimp with garlic and onions, my husband had the Shrimp with jalepinos. We both absolutely loved our meals! The shrimp were large and moist and so tasty! A friend recommended Los Nuevos Charros and I agree and highly recommend this restaurant! Please note -they are new and having difficulty hiring servers but we only had a 5 minute wait and they were apologetic-we felt they did a great job with communication! Please support this great restaurant!

We had heard good reviews about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. Glad we did! The service and food was great! They had a fajitas dish with chicken and chorizo. Probably the best fajitas I’ve had in this area. Also added a small side of guacamole to the order and it came out in the cutest dish. They have a great menu and we are looking forward to coming back again soon!

This was one of the best lunch experiences I have ever had. The decorations and atmosphere were very nice and comforting, but that of course was not the best of it all. The prices were affordable and all of the food had great proportions. This is some of the BEST food I have had. The California Burrito was heavenly. I also had a great pleasure with Celeste being our server, she was so friendly and very funny. Celeste also gave great recommendations on what to order and was overall a joy. Lastly the alcoholic drinks were AWESOME, the Piña colada is a definite must try. Overall this place was heaven and I will definitely be making a trip back whenever possible.

Food was solid outside of the veggie fajitas which got poor marks. Margaritas were lovely, but unfortunately the service was quite dismal. Saw our waitress twice the entire time — once to take our order and then at the end when she delivered the check. No inquiries into whether we wanted more drinks or our waters refilled. Certainly worth stopping in to try, but plenty of room for the restaurant to improve execution.

I am beyond amazed by my recent dining experience from last night! The food was excellent, each dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. But what truly stood out was the service, particularly the remarkable efforts of a young hostess. She was handling seating and assisting guests with such poise and efficiency. What impressed me most was her initiative and dedication. Noticing that the servers were struggling, she stepped up to help bus tables, deliver chips and salsa, bring drinks, and even check on tables. She took on all these responsibilities calmly and respectfully, ensuring that every guest felt attended to. It’s rare to see such a young person display such a strong work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction. Her willingness to go above and beyond made our dining experience truly exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant, not only for its delicious food but also for its outstanding service, especially the incredible contributions of this young hostess and she greeted everyone with such a big smile that no one can ever forget!

Great and authentic Mexican food, service and an unpretentious ambiance. I came here for lunch on a weekend with 2 families and 3 kids. They were quick to seat us, and seemed to know exactly how to handle 3 toddlers with ease. I ordered the floutas deluxe, and the food arrived piping hot and fresh with tons of flavor and covered in tasty cheese. Our server was fantastic and handled our table with ease.
