They also make fresh Passion Fruit juice (Parcha) and Tamarindo juice. The Passion Fruit juice is to DIE FOR.
Whenever I’m in the area, I’ll have to stop by for a meal here! Absolutely wonderful!
I’m Dominican and Mofongo is my favorite dish, and I’ve tried it in so many places, including the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, searching for the perfect one. I can honestly say I finally found it here. The seasoning of the meat and the mofongo was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of garlic, and the chicharrón had the perfect crunch. I’m completely hooked.
I will definitely be coming back. The chef was incredibly sweet and friendly, and when I told him how delicious the food was, he humbly said it’s because he always cooks with love and you can truly taste it. I’ll definitely be back it is now my favorite spot.
Los Mocanos Restaurant is absolutely amazing! The food was incredibly delicious and full of authentic Puerto Rican flavor. Everything tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. You can really taste the quality and the love put into the food. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and very satisfying.
The restaurant was also very clean and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The customer service was excellent the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very comfortable.
If you’re looking for authentic Puerto Rican food in Middletown, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended. I will definitely be coming back again!
When I finally got my order, they somehow managed to catch an attitude with me again—out of nowhere. At this point I’ve given this place way too many chances. I used to come here when it was under the old owners and always tried to give the new team the benefit of the doubt, but the quality is nowhere near the same.
The food looked incredibly dry—like it had been sitting out for hours. I literally watched them pour sauce over food that was clearly old just to make it look fresh. It’s honestly disappointing and a huge red flag for any restaurant.
I wouldn’t go back here or recommend this place to anyone. Between the terrible customer service and the poor food quality, this is easily the worst Spanish restaurant in the area. If you don’t believe me, just walk in and look at the food yourself—you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. Also worth a mention that there was absolutely nowhere to park as they had their driveway completely Blocked off. It’s insane how some people will Treat a person they don’t know who is literally supporting their business. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day here.
Okay, both of my rice was very flavorful. My complete meal had so many different flavors popping into my nose. I had no idea what I was eating because everything holds so much flavor. My yucca my blood sausage, both of my rice and pig feet and my roasted pork serve hot. It all looks so great. It took me some time to pick out my choices. Everything looks so fresh and smells so good before it hits my plate. I must say compliments to the chef. He outdone himself for what I heard. He does this on a daily basis and he’s repetitive in his meals. Hats off to the chef
