$20 meals and slow service (one guy taking orders and cooking food at the same time, all while on the phone). Bathroom was dirty with no paper towels. Salsa bar options were very good though!

Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had in a while! Everything I’ve had there is amazing. I even asked if they could make something off the menu just for my service dog, and they did not disappoint. Sam and I give this place 6 stars!!

The adobada tacos are 100% worth the stop. I couldn’t have eaten 10. The homemade tortillas rank among the best I’ve ever had. And try both house salsas!

We have always wanted to find somewhere to eat in Mattawa and had great food here. My husband had the enchiladas and I had an asada burrito, both were excellent, more true Mexican style than fake American Mexican.

THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD I HAVE EATEN IN TEN YEARS!! Everything is made fresh with natural ingredients and huge portions. Burritos had real steak, chopped avocado, crunchy lettuce, and a HOMEMADE tortilla that was not stale or yeasty. Tamales were steaming hot and bigger than the plate. Huevos Mexicanos (scrambled eggs) had zest and extreme flavor with chopped jalapeno peppers. Flan was sweet, tangy, and fresh.
It’s a complete hole-in-the-wall, but entirely worth the detour into Mattawa. A real gem hidden in the desert.
