Decided to give them another chance since I have always eaten here while recovering from multiple appointments while staying at the hotel next door.
Had the burrito, it was very good and overstuffed, even though the waiter forgot the sour cream, which I really did not need anyways. Perhaps, I should check into another place next to a better Mexican Restaurant during my next round of appointments to keep me in a serene mood(?).
Why do I feel my dinner check was $2.00 more than the menu price & why did they not give me a detailed receipt when I asked for one?

Good food with good portion sizes (although my food came lukewarm like it had been sitting out for a while) but service needs a lot of work. They forgot our drinks, we waited half an hour for our food and they forgot to bring sauces, refill chips and being silverware for the entire table.
Not sure if they were overwhelmed by many guests or there was a racial component that the server couldn’t overcome, but everyone around us was getting much quicker and thorough service which was odd.
I’ve been here previously when it was more empty and it was better do it could be hit or miss I guess, but this was a big miss this time.
PS: don’t bother with the drinks, the food is what is most quality here

I have been going here for many years and I’m so sad to say that I won’t be going back anymore. When my partner and I went there tonight they charged us nearly 20% more than the prices listed on the menu. I paid with a card and they blamed the extra amount on the surcharge. When we asked for an itemized receipt they wouldn’t show it to us, so we asked for the menu. We showed them the prices on the menu and they told us that those prices were wrong and pointed to a fine print note that said prices can change at anytime without notice. I am devastated that one of my favorite restaurants would do something like this to us. We won’t be going back.

The absolute best Mexican food in the area no questions! Super authentic food and ingredients! The workers are very pleasant, and there is even a store that sells authentic items as well! I purposely go out of my way to come here and worth it every single time

I ordered the Cecina Plate. Two students at my summer school where I am teaching recommended this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised there it is a store too, and across the street Mexican popsicles! The first day I had snacks from each. The second day after work I had the best Hispanic meal I have ever eaten! I have had a buffet in Cancun too. The margarita in front of dancing was nice. Glad I was here for lunch. I have the rest of the day to burn it off. I did take a little home.

I ordered chilaquiles verdes and Chile’s rellenos to go , the rice is uncooked, mushy , wet , terrible rice chiles rellenos I did not receive the tortillas how am I supposed to eat it?

I have had tacos from the Los Gemelos restaurant (attached to the Tienda Los Gemelos) many times over a number of years, both dine in and take out on numerous occasions. I have always been completely satisfied with them not only while eating them but for many hours after (on all occasions!), which is something remarkable and unusual in the realm of restaurants and even tacos. Whether dine in or take out, the quality is very consistent. The corn tortillas are large and slightly dry but in a very good way. Taco meals have never felt too heavy from them. The staff are always really courteous, too. Their other restaurant food is very good, too–perhaps I might give more insight into that in the future–and they have very good horchata, to boot. The atmosphere and vibes of the restaurant and the shop have always been positive. Great job!
