I usually go to Los amigos, but decided to try another Mexican restaurant. The customer service was horrible, I stood there awkwardly waiting for someone to acknowledge me and tell me where to sit. When I was sat, I ordered cheese enchiladas and a sopapilla with honey only. I wanted the sopapilla to come out first. It did not. My enchiladas came out 10 min later, not hot, and it was very dry. I asked where my sopapillas were, the waiter looked confused and went to check. Another guy came out and asked how I wanted it. I told him honey only. So I finished my food, wait about another 15 minutes, no one has checked on me, updated me about my sopapillas, nothing. So I get up to ask to pay for my food and ask for my sopapillas, and I’m standing there, a few minutes later, the guy that asked me earlier about how I wanted my sopapillas walk in with a bottle of honey from the dollar store. No one told me he had to go to the store to get the honey and gave me the approximate wait. So after all that, I get my sopapillas, the main reason for me coming, and they were HORRIBLE. They tasted like they were fried in old grease, they were too thick and tasted nothing like sopapillas. Long story short, just go to Los Amigos smh.

Nobody was there to seat us . We had to go to the kitchen to be seated. I should have left then. The employees did not speak or understand English!! My husband had a seafood allergy and we needed to opt out with adding the shrimp to our mixed Fajitas. Which took over 45 minutes to get . And the place only had 3 other people! The language barrier is a huge problem. The food was less than mediocre

I am from Texas and love Mexican food. I was happy to try Los Frijolitos during my stay in Marksville because the reviews were very good.
I ordered The Marksville Platter which had several different items to taste. I was unimpressed with the dishes and it tasted like commissary food to me. The salsa was okay but I didn’t enjoy the chips and the queso was just okay.
The furnishings looked authentic to Mexico and the service was good. Though the food was not bad, I won’t be back.

We weren’t here very long because the food and service was lightning fast!
Friendly waitstaff and probably some of the best shrimp street tacos I’ve ever had.

The taquitos had no flavor. The pico de gallo, salsa and guacamole wasn’t much better.
However the refried beans were good.
Definitely not great max food

Every time I visit my family, the first stop is a Mexican restaurant because I always crave their traditional food, it is so delicious and well prepared, you can tell your plate is hot, the flavors and heat of the spices in their food are authentic.

If your wife is tired of cooking and demands you to take her out to eat… I guess this is an option. Marksville is a small town, but that shouldn’t be an excuse. Put your back into it. The tacos are a disgrace, your burrito is sad, your salsa had no flavor besides jalapeños. If you can’t get things right, take them off the menu. I will say your pork tips were good, the fajitas are below par but will do in a pinch.

What you would expect in a small town. Margaritas were pretty good, buy one get one. Birria tacos were good but the corn tortillas were soggy and not crisp. Buddy recommends the pollo loco
