If you’re craving authentic birria, this mom-and-pop spot is the place to be. The birria here is hands-down the best in the area; rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portions are generous for the price, and you won’t leave hungry. If you’re into margaritas, they’ve got a great selection, including a flight of different flavors for those who want to mix it up. For something heartier, try the Jalisco Special, it comes with fajita, chicken, and grilled shrimp served with plenty of food to take home. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, with enough space for any group size, whether it’s a casual dinner or a small celebration. If you’re in the area, definitely worth a stop!

Very dissatisfied for my 1st visit. On board was a $2.99 margarita special but when trying to order this wasn’t the special. Ordered steak fajitas and burrito/cheese quesadilla lunches, cheese dip. I’d never had a quesadilla covered with red sauce before. The food was cold within 3 minutes. Our waiter only returned when we asked for a 2-go container. When checking out our waiter asked how everything was but when I told him about food being cold he said oh and cashed us out ($30)

Food ALWAYS come out lukewarm or cold. Last night I ordered what looked low carb. Chicken, steak(shoe leather) and chorizo veggies. It came out in a cauldron with a large piece of steak and chicken sticking out. The meat was scored like they tried to slice it, but not sliced still whole. I had to ask for a plate to slice the meat and build my tacos on, fajitas style, they brought out an appetizer plate. They are still better than the other two places in Anna, sadly. If you order the poppers send them back for extra heating at least 3 times and cross your fingers that they get them hot. They can not understand that the cheese needs to be melted inside not ice cold.

Food is alright…. Enjoyed going there until the small woman with the blonde hair started being disrespectful… last year she told me and my friends we had to talk louder when we ordered all the while she was talking so quiet we could hardly hear her… now just today I went to pay and had forgotten my wallet and so my friend paid for me and she proceeded to tell me how that she’s seen me in here different times before and I seem to like to just forget my wallet on purpose so that one of my friends pays for my meal… I told her no that’s not true and she repeated it to me again with a nasty grin… sorry but I won’t tolerate that kind of service…. Everyone there has been nice to me except her…left feeling disrespected …. Don sol or Patron Grill has much better service…

Good food options, menu. Service was a little slow, had to walk up to get my own refills more than once. I do like the menu compared to others in the area. Price is better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. Would highly recommend this place for food of any kind, spicy, Mexican, even a few non-Mexican options.

I didn’t love the salsa, it was bland. The service was good, not great. It was weird that our sides came out before the actual meal, the beans and rice and my side of mushrooms came out before our tacos. I ordered a Mexican style carnitas taco and my partner ordered 3 Mexican style steak tacos. The steak and carnitas were delicious, very flavorful. I was surprised that being on corn tortillas that they weren’t double wrapped so the tacos fell apart but even eating them with a fork was fine because they tasted so good. The mushrooms and grilled jalapeño were great too. Prices weren’t bad, pretty much average compared to other Mexican restaurants. I do hope they work on the salsa because I want to love this restaurant since we don’t have a lot of options in Anna.

This place is atrocious. There were literally roaches crawling around to our right by a wall when we were eating. We were literally eating with roaches. And when we told one of the staff members on the way out that they had roaches, he just laughed like it was something funny. This place is garbage and need to be shut down until they can get an exterminator out here.

What can I say? Third time here and probably the last. Had a taco salad and it was hardly edible; more like taco soup in a shell. The meat on the bottom of the shell was soupy, not what you want in a taco shell. The tomato was diced too thin, almost minced. The lettuce was so scarce it dissappeared in the “soup” when mixed all up. The meat mixture was completely bland; no hint of cumin, salt, or any other spice you would expect in taco meat. The shell was also dwvois of flavor as were the chips. Disappointing!

Pretty good remodel. Staff has always been super friendly! Food is typical American-Mexican style, although they do have a few dishes I’m not used to seeing which is nice. Always been solid, but nothing exquisite. And MUCH cheaper than the other Mexican restaurant in town. A great fit for Anna.
