Was here for the first time today! The food is outstanding along with the service! Everything is clearly made fresh in house. Behind the counter you can see the tortillas being handmade! I had ordered 2 chicken tacos and my husband had ordered the chicken and beef and enchiladas! Just be prepared for street parking as there is very limited space in the parking lot. Again I do highly recommend checking this place out!

The chicken was so tender, and the carnitas were cooked to perfection! The sliced nopal was essential to top them with. I put a combo of all three salsas, and the fresh guac… so flavorful! Spicy tho, if you don’t have a tolerance.

You want some authentic tacos with some OG East LA Flavor then do not pass this place by, don’t let the outside of this place fool you. Plus they got the best tamales, carnitas are oh and can’t forget to grab a Jarritos on your way out or some Horchata.

If you’re a fan of the movie “Bound by Honor: Blood In, Blood Out”, then you have to stop by this famous market for lunch. The movie was filmed right here so on the side of the building they have a mural with this famous scene from that movie. And if you look right outside you’ll see the famous Pino of East Los The tortillas are all made by hand (you can see it) & there is always a lot of people so just be patient. It’s definitely a place I’ll visit again.

Different kind of taco joint. The grandma in the back is rolling up fresh tortillas by hand. I used to come back in 2008-2009, when there wasn’t a line. Inflation considered, I still think the price is fair. I definitely make it a point to make a stop here if I’m in the area. The various meats like the asada and pastor are deliciously seasoned with warm, homemade soul. But what I really love are the marinated slices of cactus you can add to the tacos. The salsas hit the spot with just the right balance of heat, kick, and pain. One of those local spots that stir up a specific kind of craving. Worth a try at least once, to see if it’s to your taste.
