I probably shouldn’t be telling you about this place because they’re going to raise the prices after this post. How can they give you this much food for $14. They give you three or four tortillas and you’re able to stuff every single one of them full of carnitas. I’m a big eater and I have never finished all of it. Total meal was $19.50 with the drink but still.

If I could give another bonus star, I would! This place is always delicious and consistent. The servers are always attentive and hospitable. It’s my go-to for Mexican food in Slidell. The 2 for 1 margaritas are really good too. We always enjoy our visit, never have been let down!

UPDATE: We finally ate inside. (Typically always order to-go and just pick up), but today we sat and dined, and it was great! They offer free bean soup for dine in only, and it is delicious. Their chips and dips are so tasty. My fajitas were literally sizzling when brought out. Plus my husband thinks the taco trio can’t be beat! The decorations and tables, even the chairs all have so much detail. The music is authentic sound but not overwhelming. Go get you some!

Went for my birthday dinner here. Food was absolutely amazing! My family will definitely return. 4 star for service, our server was trying but she apparently the only one covering a large section and had to tend to many tables. The 4 star is not for her, she’s a 5, but for management not adequately having enough servers to handle the section.

Typical Mexican food. The place looks and sounds like any other place you can get Mexican. The servers are all was nice and bring everything quickly (though last time we went, we weren’t offered any refills and never got a water when asked). I had the fajita salad which was very yummy. I wasn’t overwhelmed, but it also wasn’t terrible. I’ll probably be back.

First time here, but whenever your driving on Pontchartrain you can smell the good aroma. We were quickly greeted and seated to our table. Our waiter was nice and attentive. The food was delicious and so fresh. The Quesadilla Texana can definitely feed two people! The cups are large which is really nice, you don’t have to ask for refills like usual. I also loved that they include queso with the salsa! We will be back!

Amazing menu!! The one thing that is the most difficult about going there is figuring out what you want to eat. They have a incredible variety of authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex offerings.

This is a relatively New Mexican restaurant in Slidell but it never disappoints. I must have eaten/ takeout 4 times now and every time, you look forward to going back. So I did a takeout today and ordered everything from fajitas chicken nachos ($12.99) to chalupas vegetarian gemelas ($7.50 but won’t recommend it) to chicken quesadillas dinner ($10.50) to classic fajita chicken for 2 ($24.99) to burrito bandera ($13.99) for a grand total of $77 bucks. I mean, 4 out of 5 good dishes is 80% success rate and I’ll take it anytime. El Paso, is still more reasonable price wise and quantity wise but Los Contaritis makes up for quality albeit slightly More expensive. Customer service is always top notch so Pls do give it a try.
