We went a little before dinner time and the restaurant was not crowded at all.
The first appetizer on the menu is what made us decide to go. Carne asada fries.
Update: I’ve been back several times now. Amazing every time!
When we arrived they promptly brought out a pan of chips with three different kinds of salsa. The salsas were delicious. They brought out our drinks in an enamel cup with a handle. Really cool.
We got our carne asada fries and they were delicious. The fries were crisp and flavorful. The steak was perfectly cooked. And the toppings were delicious. Good guacamole and pico de gallo with lettuce and sour cream. The cheese was tasty and well melted.
I will go again.

It’s always good service when I come, but this time I found a very long, straight, black strand of hair stuck in my steak sope and didn’t know until I was pulling it out of my food… I have an ash brown afro, the members of my party had brown box braids, and another had coily hair. The staff swore no one had black hair and they all wear hairnets, so I guess the cow it came from had a wig on during its last days. We were already paying, I just wanted to bring it to their attention and no one took accountability.

Our first visit to this restaurant today at lunch was a mixed bag. For ordering from a lunch menu the service was very slow. When we finally got our food, which our server didn’t bring to us we realized we had no salt or pepper at our table. We could see it 8 feet away but our server was no where to be found. We waited patiently but she never appeared to ask if we needed anything or if we were satisfied with our lunch choices. In fact all the staff disappeared until we were nearly finished eating, then our server finally came and brought a couple of extra napkins that we could have used much earlier.
She finally brought our ticket but disappeared for quite a while only to come back out much later and commenced chatting with one of the other servers at the main entrance desk. I ended up waving our bill at her for several minutes until she finally noticed me.

We tried this restaurant for the 1st time for lunch on a Saturday. When we entered we noticed there was a drink special for the fishbowl margarita. They weren’t overly busy so we were seated quickly. Our waitress was a little slow and it seemed like she may have been new, but otherwise very friendly and helpful. We did order the Fishbowl Margarita that was on special and it was a good value for the price and it was delicious. You could tell the margarita was made with juices and not a mix. We had the lunch fajitas and the burrito chipotle from the lunch menu. Both were delicious and the refied beans were probably the best we have ever had. The beans that come on the Burrito Chipotle were also very good, we have never had these so it was a nice experience! The chips come with a hot and mild salsa that had great flavor and some type of avocado sauce that was very good too! We will definitely be back because they had a very large menu and so many things that sound like they would be amazing!

This was my first time here. The pork tamale is the best I’ve had since moving here from Texas! The lime & cilantro salsa is yummy. I really liked the serrano pepper salsa too. The beef taco was good. The cheese enchilada was my ok. I prefer yellow cheese and ranchero sauce. I will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Came here Friday evening. Place was packed and waited for about 15 minutes before we were seated. Our server was very nice and sweet. The place also looked fair from inside. Once we placed our order, they provided chips and 3 different salsas. They all tasted amazing. Wanted to oder table guacamole but was informed that it was out for rest of the day. Had veg. Fajitas and Enchiladas. Food was good and tasty. This place has some good options for vegetarian. Need to come back to try some more food items here. Overall 4/5 ⭐️

We stopped by after work one day and have been back twice since then. The pollo fundido is just that good… and it has bacon. The drinks are good too. They offer three dips with the chips.
Admittedly, service has never been stellar but just good enough. During each visit, wait staff have been sitting in the front on their phones. But they eventually make their way back to the table when we look in their direction.
The first visit, I did not mention that I was gluten free and regretted it later. The second and third visits, I made sure to inform the staff and I did not experience any issues (with staff or any illness later).

I stopped in yesterday about 3: 15 in the afternoon and it was relatively slow. Service was prompt and very nice. The ambiance was very much what you’d expect. Super chill and relaxed.
When brought chips and salsa I was very pleasantly surprised to see 3 different containers. Mild, hotter, and a much creamier dip made from a blend of sour cream and (if I remember what the lady told me correctly) cilantro.
Shortly after my food was brought and it was amazing. The rice was light and fluffy and the beans nice and creamy. The chimichanga… wow. The outside was nice and crisp and that middle was soooo good and cheesy.
But the greatest thing about this place, is that the first thing to greet your eye is a sign that says effectively ” If you’re homeless and need a meal… We got you!” And THAT spoke volumes to me. Thank you for putting love back into the world. You have my respect.
