We bought a baptism theme cake here and it was absolutely beautiful. And absolutely delicious, the cake was soft and the whip cream was perfect. The price was reasonable for the big cake we got! 10 out of 10 Recommended this place.

I would like to tell the Gringo community about this most fabulous Mexican Bakery that we have in Fort Smith. Their Spanish name “Canastos ” means basket. You enter the Bakery and immediately in front of you are baskets and tongs with which you go to the shelves and pick your selections. Prices range from 89cents to $1.25 for each item. Their chocolate covered pastry is to die for. They also have fresh bread. Don’t be intimidated as they speak perfect English. If you go on the weekend, they have a much expanded offering with specialty pastries as if what they have during the week isn’t special enough. Some of the weekend specialties can be slightly higher at around $2.50 each. I will warn you that once you try their offerings, you will be hooked. The building is nondiscrept, and the sign badly faded so you have to be on the lookout for it.

Worth t. Trip to t. Northside of Ft. Smith. Selection of pastries in t. Bakery is varied and authentic. T. Smell alone is reminiscent of childhood, hometown and breakfast at grandma’s. I walked in there at noon and there were 4 women still cranking out pastries, cookies and bollios. There’s a chocolate fondue fountain running ready to coat fruits, cheeses, and whatever else you can come up with. Those ladies working bless their heart, they are doing their part in “la lucha” t. Struggle and if you don’t think that theirs is a quantifiable contribution to t. Struggle then you ain’t “luchando”. Lastly, t. Prices, affordable, reasonable; especially considering t. Quality of t. Breads (bollios with crispy buttery crust and t. Insides light and airy like cotton candy). Delicious, authentic and affordable…what more could you want?
