I thought the food here was great and the service was spot on. The portions are generous. We ordered the molcajete. But the place is currently running under a different name. They are calling it El Charro

This was a delightful find! They do some unique things with their Mexican food that I really liked. First, the Chile relleno was fried perfectly and crispy on the outside. Best I’ve ever had. And their Barria tacos are LOADED with meat and cheese. Wonderful. I was there for work and went back twice it was so good. No fountain drinks.

We had a party of 7 on Sunday evening at 6:00.
We were seated immediately, put in our drink order, they brought chips and salsa, and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and place our order.
All the food came out fast and hot, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dinner.
Our server, Ivan, was polite and friendly, kept our drinks filled and empty plates cleared off the table.

Food was disappointing, but service was great! The salsa was not edible; it had a weird flavor that was possibly cinnamon – it tasted like no other salsa I’ve ever had (3 out of 4 didn’t touch it, which is RARE for our crew). The portion size was large and the plate for the grande combo was larger than any plate I’ve seen. However, the food was not that great – my son said it was “passable as food”. I had a chimichanga and a Chile relleno. The chimichanga had decent flavor, but was mostly wet meat with little other fillings. I had a hard time eating the relleno – the cheese “sauce” inside was thick and jello-like. The refried beans were runny (like water) and I couldn’t eat them. We have lived in Oklahoma/Texas and eaten a lot of authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex. This was neither. If you’re from the south, skip this one; you will be just as disappointed. The prices were extremely high as well (very few items below $15.99 and most were $20-$25+). However, our service was great, the bathrooms were clean, and the place seemed well-kept, which bumped it up to 2 stars. Overall, decent place considering its location, but would not recommend to travelers from the south.

Food came out promptly, hot and fresh! Big portions! Very good flavor. 10/10 from me and my husband. Staff were great too! Very friendly. Restaurant seems a little dated when you arrive but don’t let it deter you!

The staff here is to notch. They seem to be trying very hard to bring an authentic Mexican restaurant to the wilds of WY. Food was hot, fresh, and fast. I was also very happy that Los Cabos is not over priced. Well worth the stop if you’re in Thermopolis.

I found the waiter to be very friendly and very accommodating. My fajaita dinner turned out to be one of the best I have ever eaten. Thought the price of a margarita was high, so when I mentioned it to the waiter, I was immediately told he would make me the best margarita for the same price as a regular one. Oh yeah! Brought me a Grand Marnier . Delish!
