A cozy Mexican restaurant around the corner, nice ambiance and big servings but the food tastes average. I loved their fresh chips and spicy salsa 8/10. Burritos 7/10 and quesadillas 7/10.

Service was excellent! José took very good care of keeping our water filled and drinks coming at a great pace.
The starter chips and nacho appetizer were delicious.
The cocktails were very well mixed and balanced, with a wide variety of options.
The food was spectacular, well cooked and seasoned to perfection. Meat fell right off the bone and the Salmon Cancun was absolutely delicious.

Great mexican restaurant! Loved everything in the veggie burrito! We came at 4pm on a Sunday and it was very empty. The waiter was very kind and friendly. The cherry ontop is their quac doesnt cost anything extra to put inside a burrito! Would gladly visit again.

Stopped by Los Caballeros in DC and really enjoyed it! I had the nachos and my coworker tried the enchiladas – both were flavorful and well-seasoned. The atmosphere makes it a great spot to grab happy hour drinks after work. Definitely worth checking out!

When we arrived, only a couple of groups were seated. By the time we left, open tables were few. One man was running the show, with, of course, someone behind the scenes, cooking up the meals. I was impressed at how he kept track of so many tables: taking orders, making drinks, serving, cleaning tables, dropping the little machine off that lets you pay your bill. The atmosphere was very relaxed. No one seemed to be in a hurry, but rather, people sat and enjoyed conversation. This seems to be the spot for local DC people to get a good meal, no frills and no fuss. The guy in charge had no time for conversation, but he got the job done. My one complaint would be that if he had had help, I might have asked for a second glass of water — or maybe wouldn’t have had to ask in the first place. I will definitely look this place up the next time we are in DC (we come here once or twice a month) and are looking for a meal.

Best Mexican restaurant in DC and let me tell you about what I had to eat. The Gambas appetizer was great love it and then Mariscos Soteados was on point great flavor and the Margaritas the Crocodile Margarita that had me going for second and third. Great service and best experience and I highly recommend!

I took my parents here for lunch after seeing the restaurant recommended on Reddit. My mom has been in pursuit of a good chicken quesadilla — she finally found it! My dad had the same and also enjoyed. I had the Pollo Encebollado. It’s amazing how delicious a simple dish can be if done right. Will definitely return and highly recommend!

We had the best time at this restaurant. The food was incredible. The drinks were refreshing and delicious. The staff had the most wonderful and welcoming vibes and really added to the experience we had. The next time we are in DC we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

The best Tex-Mex food I’ve ever had. I had cheese enchiladas and sweet fried plantains, and goodness, the portion sizes were something else. No way you’ll be hungry after eating here! The prices are quite low, too – great value for money, especially for the area. And of course, insanely tasty after we’d been walking for miles around the city.
I loved the decor – a fun blend of Southern US and Mexican. The music was catchy but not loud. It’s a fun, laid-back, very informal place, great for bringing friends or the kids. Our waitress was very patient and accommodating of our requests (e.g. providing us more lime wedges when we stupidly dropped ours on the floor). The lighting was just a tad dim, though, which made the menus a smidge hard on the eyes.
Our water glasses did end up empty, but I think that’s kind of par for the course for this price range. This is where you go for filling hearty food smothered in cheese, not to have every whim fulfilled instantly.
Overall, I’d highly recommend it if you’re really hungry and want value for money.
