We’ve been here twice now and both times the experience has been great. The food is amazing. I’m originally from Texas so I feel like it’s hard to find some really good authentic Mexican food. This place definitely has it. The chili Reno is my favorite! Along with the tamales!

The decoration and the overall ambience is really good. I like the overall design although I think a change in the indoor dark green color might be better.
Food-wise we expected a bit more authenticity and freshness.

1. Enchiladas Supreme (4 pieces : beef, chicken, cheese and beans) : The cheese one was really good. But the tortilla of the beef/chicken one was very fragile and it felt like it wasn’t fresh.
2. Falutas : I liked the flautus more. But again the tortilla didn’t feel fresh at all.

We came maybe an hour to an hour and a half before they closed on a Thursday night for context, but still plenty of time. Our server was very friendly, responsive, and kind, but that’s sadly where the positives stop. Our meals (birria tacos & pick-2 taco special) were both lukewarm/cool and flavorless. I have never tasted such bland ground beef before let alone at a Mexican restaurant! My husband’s birria tacos looked delicious, but had no taste really at all, just tasted like wet meat. The only thing on our plate that had any flavor and was tolerable were the refried beans. Even our chips & salsa were served cold. I know it’s hard to keep everything 100% before closing time, but it’s not like we walked in 10 minutes before close. I hate bashing small local businesses but hopefully something changes because this was by far the worst experience I’ve had in a Mexican restaurant. At least the waitress was nice and kept our drinks full! I wish I could remember her name!!

We’ve been going here for years and always make sure we eat there when we’re in town. Never been disappointed with the food or the service. We always get the Burritos Deluxe and split it. It’s huge. More than enough to leave full and have lunch the next day!
Update 1/7/25 – We stopped in to have our favorite burritos and were shocked to discover they’ve changed their salsa (which we loved!). The new salsa is AWFUL. No flavor. It’s like they dumped tomato paste straight out of a can. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

We asked for vegetarian options, there is some option to choose. We ordered spinach burrito! It was loaded with veggies, full of flavour, and very satisfying. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh. The cheese dip was thin, but the burrito itself really stood out. Definitely recommend!

I love, love, love the Beef & Cheese Quesadilla Supreme and my husband cleaned his #15 combination plate. The best tamale I’ve ever tasted! The atmosphere is super laid back and the decor as far from fancy as you can get. The food is the focus and keeps us coming back! Lots of food for little money.

Staff is very friendly. Food is excellent and freshly made. Comes to your table hot! Not spicy unless you order it that way. Whole fried tilapia is to die for ( my absolute favorite ). Average meal is sure enough worth cheering about. Today was a wash out for fishing but I caught my bite with the tilapia!
