My daughter and I stayed over in northern Santa Rosa over President’s Day weekend to attend a swim competition at Santa Rosa Junior College. On Saturday (also Valentine’s Day), we were looking to some tasty shrimp burrito for her. Read multiple reviews of nearby taqueria, and Los Arcos looked like a fit. Many of the reviewers were Latino naming patrons and seem to be from local area. My daughter ordered the shrimp burrito, while I got the bbq pork super burrito. We dined in at the restaurant. The food were delicious, and of decent amount compared to the Bay Area I was driving from. I also love any taqueria where they grill (vs steam) the outside of their burritos, as this gives an extra toasted flavor. The nice lady at the front cashier desk came by and checked on us several times to make sure of our water and that everything was alright. Chips and salsa were also complimentary. The cashier lady and I ended up chatting at the end about the family photos surrounds the inside walls, and it was cool to hear about the photo of her mom (who recently passed), her brother, her grandparents, and her larger family. It all started with my mistake of thinking her mom’s photo is of hers, since they both look very alike. Super nice lady, and I’m happy to be supporting a small family-owned local restaurant.

Los Arcos is my family’s favorite Mexican restaurant. It is also the only one I ever recommend to people. The owner and his family are so kind and friendly. You can tell how much heart is put into their business with the way they treat the customers.

Good gravy in the navy is this place fantastic! The food is so good! It’s a small place if you want to dine in, but there are a handful of tables both inside and out. The food is made to order and the salsas are made in house. Everything was fresh, wonderfully aromatic, and damned delicious!
We stopped in around 11am for brunch – breakfast is served all day – and ended up getting and sharing two different meals. The machaca (scrambled eggs and shredded beef with peppers and onions) was very well made, hearty, and delicious. The breakfast burrito with bacon was AMAZING. Amazing. I’ll go back just for that. The green salsas were both so good that we bought jars to take with us. Even the coffee was excellent.
I’m already ready to go back!

My son was craving a burrito and has a big appetite, so we ordered a Monster Burrito through DoorDash. This burrito is huge and comes packed with your choice of meat, rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. We went with carne asada, rice, beans, sour cream, and cheese, and asked for it wet with red salsa and cheese—but no guac.
The order arrived perfectly! It came in a sturdy tin foil container with just the right amount of red salsa, along with utensils, napkins, and a note confirming the no-guac request. They even included two bags of chips and three different salsas—green, red, and avocado.
Everything was spot on, and the food tasted amazing as always. They followed instructions and the quality and flavor never disappoints. Highly recommend!

An awesome, locally owned taqueria offering a very extensive menu of delicious, reasonably priced options. I’m especially fond of their vegetarian/vegan McDougall menu and other veggie-forward dishes like Cris’s Burrito (pictured), which features veggies, prawns and chicken, and no rice. They are not kidding about being the healthy choice, which is important to me. If you care about your fitness and health, but still enjoy flavorful Mexican food, this place checks all the boxes. Always fresh, fast and flavorful, high quality ingredients and friendly service.
