Stopped in for supper. It was busy, but they got us in right away! Fantastic food! I had the Pollo Santa Fe and the Chicken-stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeños were amazing! Staff is attentive, quick and friendly. I can’t wait to try more of their menu!

Very welcoming, small town hospitality. Fairly quick at getting my food. Cabeza and Lingua street tacos were phenomenal!. The chimichanga was also very good. Guacamole sauce was amazing as well .Definitely a more traditional cut of meat but so tender. Fairly priced and I’ll definitely be eating there again next time I’m going through town!

The freshest salsa ever – incredible!! I joked I was going to ask for a straw to start drinking it. I had lunch #1 – delicious street tacos with beans, rice, and green salsa. Heavenly. Service was friendly and efficient. I couldn’t stop raving about how delicious and satisfying this meal was. If you are in Kalona, it must already be your favorite place. If you live elsewhere, sorry but get here any way you can as soon as possible! This place will make you ALL kinds of happy.

A pleasant surprise in Kalona. It is a rare treat when all the meat in a molcajete is well seasoned and not dry. The sopes were great and the margaritas were tasty and reasonablely priced. Not a fan of the al pastor. The staff were friendly and helpful despite being crazy busy.

My husband and I ate lunch at Los Amigos Taqueria today. It was marvelous even though we were there during a busy lunch hour! The food and service were FANTASTIC! We plan on eating there again soon. The staff, food and beverages were just super, prepared quickly and served promptly. Like most restaurants they also do takeout. Here is a pic of part of what we enjoyed!

For a small town restaurant, it was pretty much what we expected. The workers were very efficient, and the food was prepared fast and as ordered, but we thought is was a bit bland. You get chips and salsa before you order. We ordered steak fajitas, and although the steak could have used more seasoning, the meat was nicely grilled and the veggies, too. My husband ordered the flautas, and they are traditionally made with corn tortillas, but these were made with flour tortillas, which was disappointing. Also, they didn’t come with shredded lettuce and sour cream on top, but on the side. The flavor of the al pastor meat was okay. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is nothing fancy, and could use a major remodel, but they were quite busy the whole time we were there on a Friday evening.

Best in Kalona. From their tacos to their platters–this place is tasty! I love the accommodating staff and the portions. I absolutely adore the hot salsa but can’t ever finish because it is too spicy. Give this place a go!
