Social Profile:

Los Amigos, Vail’s oldest Mexican restaurant, offers fine Mexican dining at reasonable prices for both lunch and dinner. Los Amigos has been anchored at the top of Bridge Street since 1972. With Vail Villages best view of the slopes, winter and summer, Los Amigos’ outside deck is always occupied. Everyone enjoys a margarita while watching skiers trying one last plunge down Pepi’s Face or watching kids play at Pirate Ship Park. Among our veteran staff, we draw inspiration from our Hispanic kitchen who have created unique authentic Mexican dishes like Steak Tacos: a delicious blend of sauteed diced sirloin steak, cilantro, onions in white corn tortillas with special tomatilla sauce. Great Atmosphere, Great Food, Great Price, Family Friendly.

Venerable spot for Mexican-American fare such as tacos & burgers plus margaritas & an outdoor patio.

One of the worst Mexicans restaurants I have ever been to. The churros were like rocks. The pastor taco was very greasy and full of fat (poor quality meat). When I mentioned this to the waitress she just shurg her shoulders. Don’t come near this place…

3 stars only because of how expensive it is and how the staff keeps bugging you.. I love staff who are friendly and who keeps an eye on what you need….but I hate it when they keep approaching you while you’re eating… asking me if I’m done with the menu or with the guacamole or whatever. The food was okay…. The lobster taco was my favourite…. The shrimp taco wasn’t that special and the fish taco didn’t have much flavour…. The chicken salsa taco tastes like canned tuna… maybe it’s because they obviously use canned chicken…. Other than that… the margarita mi amigo was amazing…. Loved it so much…. The rest weren’t special. Wouldn’t visit again. Maybe just for the margarita

Food was very good and tortilla chips were hot and fresh and endless. Nice selection of street taco varieties to mix and match as well as old favorites. Pictured are three street tacos–carne asada, El Pastor and Mango chicken. Prices were reasonable by Vail standards. Service and atmosphere were great! Will definitely go back!

We stopped in for lunch right off Gondola 1. Excellent location. We are outside and were seated right away. Black Bean cup of soup was delicious. Prices were reasonable for Vail. I had a carnitas tostada for $10.75. My husband had two tacos – about $6 each. Food was good. Service was a let down as we asked for more salsa and for a water and menu for our third guest, and neither arrived. So, we just asked for our check. I would eat there again. I think the server just forgot about our requests.

Food was okay – decent Mexican food for on the mountain in Colorado but it was pretty expensive and the service was just okay. I had to ask for chips and salsa at the bar after my meal had already come out. There was a lady working the bar when I first sat down- I think she was the manager or first shift bartender? but she wasn’t very friendly and seemed irritated to be working at the bar and the michelada she made me was really strange – it was too salty and overpowering the way it was served. The male bartender with long hair who took over for her after I ordered my meal was friendly and gave decent service and also gave me a side of Bloody Mary mix to go with the michealada which helped.

Kicked it old school by heading to Vail from Edwards for a Los Amigos lunch on the deck. Late day lunch, blue skies, warm day, great food and service. I always liked going to Los Amigos in the old days when I lived and worked in Vail. Making the drive from Edwards and strolling around the village made it a special afternoon. The chips & salsa, guacamole & queso were so delicious with an ice cold beer and margarita to start. I couldn’t resist ordering the fish tacos which were fresh and flavorful along with a shishito pepper small plate and panko crusted lobster tortilla specials.
