Being from Texas we are a little picky about our Mexican food, but we LOVE Los Amigos! We have been eating at the Mountain Grove location for the past 8 years, so we are thrilled to have one in Cabool now. The owner has always been very friendly to us, and the food is top notch!! Some of our favorites are the Burrito Gonzales, Tamales, Fajita Nachos, & Guacamole!!! I’ve also tried the Chimichanga, & am looking forward to trying the spinach enchiladas next! They also have very large portions. We usually split some of the larger meals. And their lunch menu is EVERYDAY 11:00 am – 3:00 pm – not just Monday-Friday, which is a real added bonus! Try it! You won’t be disappointed!!

I am so thankful for Los Amigos in Cabool! They didn’t save my kitten from up in a tree, but if you’re from the area, you know decent places to eat are a challenge. Places that are consistently decent, plus places that you can also sit down and eat inside, plus places that are affordable, well, let’s just say Cabool struggles in the eatery department. The renovation was la cereza on top. Inside smells like delicious food instead of mold and the booths aren’t collapsing. My family gets different items: burritos, nachos, carnitas, tamales, etc. The whole enchilada, if you will. The service is good (but depends on how good – young lady with the glasses is awesome!). Please keep the standards up and teach the entire wait staff what Chalula is. Cabool, please keep eating here.

My husband ordered California burrito and I ordered nachos to go. We picked it up and brought it home and it was TERRIBLE! The steak was old and rubbery and the burrito looked like it had been slopped in the container. It looked quite disgusting. My nachos were cold and soggy. Mind you we literally live 3 blocks away. We took it back and the owner said it looked fine to him and refused to remake it. He reimbursed our money and ordered us to leave. Always before the food was great. This time it was TERRIBLE and the customer service was NONEXISTENT! Next time I want Mexican I’ll go to Mountain Grove and get Taco Bell or I’ll make it myself at home. I won’t be returning to Los Amigos after the way the owner spoke to us tonight. 2 less customers might not mean much to him but seeing as how there are only about 2500 of us in town, I think it’ll make a difference. I love small hometown mom and pop but I refuse to eat SLOP!!!
