I stopped at Los Agaves in Pike Place Market and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. The chilaquiles were absolutely incredible — the perfect balance of crispy and saucy, with rich flavors that tasted homemade and authentic. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and prepared with care.

The service was just as good as the food. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome even though the market was busy. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food, great atmosphere, and genuinely warm service — but Los Agaves delivers all three.

If you’re at Pike Place Market and craving authentic Mexican food, this place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Seattle!

What happened? I used to get my tamales here. They used to be moist and perfectly packaged in a green leaf. There used to be some slight smoke in the meat from the lead wrap. Maybe it was a banana leaf. Their chicken and pork used to be moist with hints of lard that added flavor.

Today, I returned an got this tamale. The masa was burned. The chicken did not taste like mole, and everything appeared off. I could hardly finish this. The tamale was disgusting and the salsa was watery and flavorless.

It seems to me like the portion is smaller and the price was close to $7. I don’t like posting bad reviews and I hope that there’s some serious damage control.

The breakfast burrito was amazing. Cooked with over medium egg and chorizo with a light fresh flour tortilla. Definitely come again when in town.

Food quality was not as expected. Chilaquiles were not authentic they used tortilla chips from a bag of chips and chorizo was extremely greasy. We also grabbed a carne asada burrito and was not as expected. Never coming back to this restaurant. Not much space to eat indoors. It’s more for take out. Music was good. Also overpriced.

Their pupusas are everything. seriously my go-to comfort food. And when I’m feeling bold, I treat myself to one of their micheladas. I’m not your typical beer girly, but these are packed with flavor in a sweet way and hit just right.

The vibes are unbeatable sitting there, eating, and watching the world go by at the market feels like a little slice of Seattle magic. The workers are always so kind and helpful, and you can tell the food is made with love every time.

Highly recommend if you’re at Pike Place and want something delicious and full of good vibes!

I ordered the huarache, and it did not disappoint. A freshly made corn tortilla hecho a mano. Ingredientes were fresh, the carne asada was quality meat. I’ve ordered carne asada from other restaurants before and the meat can sometimes be grisly, but not here. The carne asada was tender and very flavorful.

Love, love this place! I got the breakfast chilaquiles (they only have green sauce kind) and it delicious! It had a good nice spice to it. The carne asada was well seasoned. For the portion we got, I felt it was priced well. They don’t have coffee, but a few steps away is a cute small bakery that does. They also had popusas! They do only have tall tables and stools which made it hard for a short gal like me. But right around the corner if you’re lucky there is shorter tables and chairs.
