I recommend the burrito de surtido, four tamales; two beef, two cheese, and an horchata. The burrito de surtido is good and has a good authentic Mexican taste. Burrito de surtido translates to a “mixed meat” or “assortment” burrito in English. The “surtido” refers to a mixture of various meats. This is what the cashier at the market told me. He said, it’s a burrito with all the meats. I tried it, it was good, a decent size, and was not to expensive. The burrito is hot, I like spicy food, but if you don’t like hot, tell them you don’t want it hot/spicy. Hot/spicy or not, it’s good. I bought a Vatos Locos shirt that said Los Cinco Puntos, a large horchata, a big bottle of coke, and four tamales; two beef, and two cheese. Both of the tamales are not bad in taste. One thing I noticed about the tamales is they had a lot of masa. The horchata is not bad, it’s sweet, a decent size, but it’s $6.

Went today with the family drove an hour to finally eat at the iconic spot from our favorite movie. It was a smooth drive, no traffic, no wait. They had a mariachi singing live. I really liked the vibe. When I got to the counter to order the girl was super helpful she let us taste all the meats which I really appreciated. We decided to get the carne asada and chicharron tacos. Here goes my review the carne asada was so salty and the chicharron was okay but some pieces were so crunchy I thought I was eating pieces of bone. Now the tortillas were not your typical they kind of taste like sopes before they are fried. No taste at all. Now the tamales they are ok but nothing that I would brag about. I wanna hope I just went on a bad day and the senoras in the back were just tired. After talking to the locals they say we should of gotten the carnitas instead so maybe that’s what it was. Its pretty pricey too but portion are pretty generous and I would of loved it had we enjoyed the food. So in the end want to be honest because if you were thinking like us to make the drive sure its worth it one time. Ask to try all the meats first and decide for your self but for us we don’t regret going and glad we can say we tried but its a one and done for us.

Easy to order and quick turnaround. The market is bustling and busy but lots of staff to help. The carnitas tacos were very good. Topped with nopales, cilantro, onion and salsa verde and on fresh delicious tortillas. $3.49 a taco but they were big and packed. Should have tried this place a long time ago.

Must stop every time I’m in town. Great food with large portions without lacking flavor. Fresh hand made tortilla straight from the comal. I always go with buche and chicharron, and the tripa is amazing too. Fast service and great atmosphere.

I typically get the beef carnitas. Ordered the asada today as well and it was delicious. This is a great place to buy cooked meat by the pound. Posted the menu from today so you all can have current prices.

Excellent Mexican deli with tacos made by hand. I had the tacos de chicharrón and carnitas, both were great but I have to give a slight edge to the chicharrón taco. I ordered the combo #1 which included up to a 20oz drink and it came out to just over $11. Service felt personalized and the line moved fairly quickly. Parking is tricky so I just parked on a nearby street and walked over.

I’ve been wanting to check this place and finally was around the area. The hand made tortillas are thick and yummy on their own. The meats I tried(carnitas & carne asada) are flavorful. I’m glad you can by the meats by the pound, the salsas in different sizes and if you go on a sat or sun they have menudo as well. Also the blood in blood out(movie) theme outside the building is pretty cool. If you’re in the area you got to check it out. You don’t be disappointed

We visited Los 5 Puntos from a recommendation of a friend. It was worth coming here. The tacos and sopes are delicious, not to mention the homemade tortillas you can see being made in the kitchen. Both the tacos and sopes are generous in size and the tortillas are thick and yummy. I recommend getting whatever you get with chicharron, it was so good!
On another note, go early! We were there right before 10am, with a short wait. Once we left, there was already a line going out the door. But again, worth it!
