Came here with my family and I have to say I am extremely disappointed. I have no idea how they have 4 stars, they must have people they know rating them. Their food was awful!! It tasted like absolutely nothing. Their salsa was in a ketchup bottle that was so crusty. My family didnt even eat a 1/4 of our food, we left hungry and $60 poorer. The waitress was nice, but we didn’t go there for her.

Is this the most underrated Mexican restaurant in the Woods Cross/Bountiful area? It’s definitely a locals place, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It seems like big portions are a thing of the past, but not at Lorena’s. I got a tamale, a chile relleno, and beans and rice, and my wife got a smothered, a cheese enchilada, and beans and rice. Both were the right amount of spice with my dish being a little more spicy than my wife’s. I barely finished mine (only because it was so good) and my wife ate about half of hers, so it will end up being two meals for her. The waiter was attentive and all the employees were so kind. I had forgotten how good this place is and will be back soon!

I ordered the 3 cheese enchiladas and from the menu, I expected it to come with beans and rice, as it always has. Also, I didn’t know that their chips weren’t bottomless anymore so I ordered more and got charged without anyone saying anything to me about that, and I felt that was really unfair. I remember in the past that they also had bottomless fountain drinks too but fortunately I saw the menu before I went. The staff were nice and my waitress was nice enough to watch my food while I freshened up in the restroom.
The enchiladas are delicious as always but the meat in the green sauce was bone dry like the desert and I was missing their old sauce but it was still a very pleasant meal. I’ve always disliked the salad they put on the enchiladas and wished they put it on the side so it didn’t end up being soggy and gross in my leftovers later since they shred the lettuce and it’s a hassle to pull off the enchiladas. I do still eat the salad though because the sauce and cheese are on it.

My Favorite smothered burrito in utah. The smothered sauce is so good. The table chips and salsa are decent. It’s the ultra blended type, but pretty good flavor and chips.
The atmosphere is nice to. Like a traditional Mexican restaurant.

It has been a long time since I sat in this dining room. 2009 just before moving out of state. Tonight we as a family came together to spend time. And I have to say, it hasn’t changed to much. Service still as welcoming as it was when I was a teen. The servings still make me feel small with their large sizes. And the flavor, a truly welcome memory and a calling home. I am so glad this is what we chose. 10/10 i will always recommend. And I Will always keep this place in a fond warm place in my heart.

We have been going to Lorena’s for years. Won’t be returning anytime soon. Our waitress was absolutely horrible!!! We has to ask to get drinks after sitting quite a while. When she did come because her boss told her to she acted completely put out. Guacamole was brown burrito was good. I gave her an order to go for nachos and waited and waited never came for dirty plates. Luckily my sister went up to pay and asked the cashier to check on order of nachos. They were sitting at cashier area. Took the nachos home to my husband and they were all soggy. He couldn’t eat the mush. Kinda a bummer used to live this place.

I do not understand how this place has 4 stars. I don’t understand! Their food portions- fabulous. Lots of food, you could even split the meal and still be full if you’d like. Their food is not tasty. Their “salsa” is in a ketchup looking bottle. Very disgusting. Not fresh at all. I’m sure this place once had good food but it no longer has it. They won’t serve you water unless asked? They have a 1 complimentary refill for sodas. Ridiculous Take your money elsewhere.

Food is always amazing here. The lady they have running the register is extremely rude! I asked for a bag for my food and she pretty much threw it at me and she has the absolute worst attitude. My husband asked if she could break a hundred so she opened her register and then didnt say anything to my husband, she just stood there giving him a dirty look! If your going to work customer service you should probably like people.
