It changed once we got I side. The ambiance was nice enough , our server was amazing . The apps were great, The steaks were cooked to perfection. And the mushrooms on the side were so good that I packed the remaining ones.
Definitely one of the top 3 steak houses I. The Halton region.
We enjoyed a couple of expertly made cocktails. I had a piña colada that was not made from a slushie machine—it was fresh, delicious, and arrived quickly after ordering. Our appetizers were also excellent; my husband’s Greek salad was generous enough to be a main course on its own.
For our entrées, we enjoyed steak and lobster, both of which were prepared beautifully and cooked to perfection. The Christmas décor was stunning and, as we were told, stays up until the end of January each year so everyone gets a chance to enjoy it.
We couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary dinner and would happily return.
The food was to die for, looked and tasted so delicious. The lobster tail was rich and tasted so great in the hot garlic butter. The mussels oh boy… no words, mouth watering. So glad to have me that lovely gentleman at the bar. Thank you by the way ( you definitely made us feel so welcomed as soon as we arrived). We will definitely be going again! Loved loved it!
But it was so fun to watch Raquel make in front of us our Caesar Salad, such a skill, it was so impressive and definitely a must try experience!
Raquel provided exceptional service, doing check ins and ensuring we had everything we needed. Really going above and beyond with her attentiveness to detail.
Thank you for making this an unforgettable wedding anniversary!
I would come back for sure.
The Service (or lack thereof):
Despite the restaurant not being busy for the first 90 minutes of our 2.5 hour stay, the service was incredibly inattentive. We ordered the table-side Caesar salad, as we did back in June which the server then was excellent and spoke with us and was present during the entire prep and assembly of the salad. During our most recent visit, the server kept walking away mid-prep to attend to other things and other customers without a word to us, taking 15 minutes just to finish it. When it was finally served, the distribution was all over the place – some portions were smaller than others and it looked lazily thrown onto the plates. Our server also never came back to check on our entrees. He barely spoke to us the entire night and it made us feel ignored and that we were a low priority.
The Wait and Quality:
Ignored: We sat for 45 minutes between appetizers and entrees with the whole table of 6 with entirely empty glasses. No one checked in or gave us an update.
The food: While someone (I believe was an owner) check on our appetizers, no one ever came back to see how the entrees were. Both the Ribeye and the Delmonico were disappointing – Gristle and inedible pieces.
The specials: The server never disclosed the prices of the specials, which I think is a basic standard for a restaurant.
I had previously recommended Lord Nelson to friends and family, but after this most recent visit being treated like a low priority, ignored, while spending a premium, I don’t think we will be returning. At these prices, its just not worth it.
Food was perfect.
Staff was fabulous.
Enjoyed our time immensely.
