What a beautiful location! We were surprised that the prices weren’t higher, given the proximity to the chateau and the great ambiance of the restaurant.

I tried the 5 cheese platter, and my girlfriend had the smoked salmon. The portion sizes were a little bit small, but the food was very delicious. I don’t typically eat cheese, but this restaurant did an excellent job and the selection was great.

Lovely restaurant on the grounds of Château de Chenonceau. Upon entering the restaurant, you leave the mass tourism of the château behind and step into a beautiful restaurant. We had a three course menu, a glass of wine and a coffee. Prices are a bit higher than similar restaurants in the region, but this is to be expected from a restaurant within the ticketed area of a museum.

I had an outstanding lunch here and as I’m writing this I’m realizing that the cost was very reasonable given the location.

Three course menu, 38 Euros. Started with an amuse bouche that was forgettable. Next was cold crab with salad that I would give a solid B+/A-.

The main course was dorade fish presented with three white asparagus spears in a sauce that was a mixture of beurre blanc and a very delicate pesto. Asparagus was excellent and the fish was excellent. Solid A. Delightful.

Dessert was a mille feuille that was acceptable. The coffee was excellent

The setting was the lovely Orangerie, a treat just to go in there. Service was kind of laughably spotty… Waitress would take an order from the next table and then disappear for 10 minutes before coming back to take an order from the adjacent table. All forgivable, it was a nice place to wait.

I would absolutely return. I wish it were easy to eat this well in Paris.

Dining at fancy castle is very unique experience. Even though there are no view of castle itself but it’s surrounded by beautiful garden. Food is good especially onion soup was great but main dish could be little bit small for men. Price is quite reasonable thou.

This is a beautiful, full service restaurant. There is a view through the woods of the castle. The food was excellent and cheaper than we expected. It’s a lovely place to relax and spend some time enjoying the ambience of Chenonceau.

Decent option for lunch while you are out touring the area. We were at the cafeteria-style restaurant and I was really craving a burger since we had been eating mostly fish and poultry.

A not-overpriced alternative to the crowded self-service eatery nearby. Until 3pm it’s an upscale all-you-can-eat buffet brunch. Combined with an optional bottle of chilled rosé, the friendly, individualised service, terrace seating and historical setting, it’s a memorable experience.

Very enjoyable setting. Food is good and well presented. Only downside was that the service broke down halfway through the meal and we waited 30 minutes for the dessert !! Price is reasonable considering the unique location.

There are more than 300 hundreds châteaux in this region. It is sometimes hard to decide which ones to visite, especially when we are a bit tight with time. Château de Chenonceau is one of my favorite one because it has all the amenities et activities in one place. The gastronomic restaurants is definitely a plus when visiting the château. We came with friends visiting from California. It is not a true experience with an authentic French cuisine experience. Prices are reasonable, too ! All in all, 5 stars in every way and I highly recommend it.

This french restaurant is nice positioned on the courtyard of Chenonceau Castle. Food is tasty but rather pricey. Service a little bit slow and unfriendly with strangers.
