Had a great experience at Lopez Mexican Restaurant! The ambiance was warm and inviting, the service was super attentive without being overbearing, and the food hit the spot—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Definitely a place I’d come back to when craving good Mexican comfort food.

Both locations are great in the following: the atmosphere , service and the quality of food ! The servers remember you and they make you feel like family . When you get great service you want to go there more often . Shout out to one of my favorite severs Elbert . Keep up the good work and continue to have great service, food and success! We love having y’all local .

Wonderful experience. Plenty of parking available even during dinner rush hours on a Saturday night. Friendly staff. We were seated immediately and asked if we needed a high chair for our little one. Waiter took our drink and food order within reasonable times. Food came out nice and hot Tasted great!! Our toddler approved and we are glad we can add Lopez as a restaurant choice for our little one. The waiter even joked with our baby girl when he brought the check and noticed she had her doggy purse with her. She smiled!! Overall great experience from beginning to end. Lopez is a great location for TexMex that leans a bit more in the Mex side. Everything I’ve eaten there is delicious. You don’t have to worry that the food will be drowning in sauces and cheese like a frozen dinner.
The service is always excellent. The patio is great when the weather is nice.
I’d tell you what I ordered, but I don’t remember what it was called. Some kind of beef enchiladas with onions in the meat. You’ll have to find it on your own. Good luck!

Lopez Mexican Restaurant was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, genuine smiles that immediately made us feel welcome. That first impression set the tone for the whole evening.
The ambience was really pleasant, comfortable, inviting, and well kept. It felt relaxed but still lively enough to make it a great spot for a night out. The location is also super convenient, right off Highway 99 and next to Gallery Furniture, which made it easy to get to and perfect for a casual dinner plan.
The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was flavorful and satisfying, and the portion sizes were very, very generous. We definitely felt like we got more than our money’s worth. Speaking of value, the pricing was extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity of the food. It is not easy to find that kind of balance these days.
The service truly stood out. Our servers were quick, friendly, and very attentive throughout the meal. They were extremely polite, answered all of our questions with a friendly tone, and always had bright smiles on their faces. It felt like they genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience.
Overall, it was a phenomenal night dining at Lopez Mexican Restaurant. Great food, generous portions, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back.

We ate at the Hwy 99 location connected to Gallery furniture. Service and food was exceptional. I have been a customer since the restaurant was in a single room next door to the former Houstons greatest Hickory Barn BBQ. Didn’t think this location could be as good as the Murphy Rd. location. It might be better, but it was definitely fantastic. Still the best cheese Enchaladas in Houston. No one can compare.

I keep forgetting to review this place, I’ve been coming here for 15 years now! We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at the Richmond location last December here on the patio almost 1 year ago today. They were quick, easy, affordable and very attentive. The meals were delicious and our whole family was in from out of town and still talks about Lopez. Will be coming here for many more years!

Excellent experience, and all the foods that we ordered are delicious Our server Rolando is a really good server, and he even accommodates my secret request to sing “Happy Birthday” to my husband. We went there for my hubby’s birthday. It was our first time eating there. Just check my photos for recommendations. We highly recommend this restaurant. Have a wonderful day, everyone! ☺️

I wondered about a restaurant attached to a furniture store, but it was really good! I found the regular margarita a little sweet. The Rey top shelf was great. My chicken flautas were meaty, crispy, and delicious. The salsa was fresh and spicy. Heck, anywhere that has good chips, salsa, and margarita is 75% of the way there. Lopez is Legit.
