Was looking for a new fish fry place. Been to redwood, marquises, river st pier. This place was SO good. We both had the perch. They also have bluegill, walleye, cod, smelt. Never heard of this place before. The reviews were high. Dive bar for sure but that’s where you get the best. Friendly staff, talked to the owner – will get the pizza next time. Old fashions also really good. Will return. Thank you!

Olive burger is amazing and if you not the Olive fan the wings are another good choice. Another gem worth a little investigation. The olive burger also makes an excellent take home burger.

Called ahead for 4 walleye dinners for pick up.
Food was ready when promised, large pieces, excellent flavor, quality and temperature. The slaw has good flavor but not a fan of the french fries which appeared to be hand cut but some people like that so can’t whine about it because it’s not my preference. I find any hand cut fries from any restaurant to be too greasy. Had 2 dinners with baby reds which were cooked properly. I now know they have waffle fries so will get those next time.
I will definitely be back and will recommend this great little country bar that has an extensive menu to anyone, even feel it’s worth a drive.

We stopped in on our way to Milwaukee on a Friday night and got the last table. Although it was very busy we didn’t have to wait long for our drinks or food. Food was dynamite. My wife had the beer boiled shrimp and I had perch. Old fashions were excellent. Very fair prices, staff was hustling, owner was very personal. Might be out of the way, but worth the trip.

Clean establishment and friendly service. My wife and I both had the chicken sandwiches. Once the food was done cooking there was zero wait time to get to our table. Even the last bite was still hot. Very reasonable prices.
