Really enjoyed it. I had been in the mall area a few times and never noticed this place as it is tucked away at the end!
The pizza was very good, well baked. The crust was very thin and good texture. What I really liked is that they had 8″, 12″, and 16″ option! The 8″ is perfect for lunch or a light dinner.
I got the ultimate which was good, and they loaded on the toppings, but it didn’t feel overdone. I would like to go back and try a few other options, as there were many to choose from!
They have vegan options and gluten free options (see menu).
4 beers on tap, with lighter beer, a brown, an IPA so you can find something to drink. A handful of wine options and a small cocktail /spritz menu (you will find something you like). Bar seating as well as table seating.
The staff was great! Super friendly and helpful. Try to make you feel like family and friends. This is clearly a neighborhood favorite as there were many people that seem to come in frequently and the staff knew them by name. Lots of take out order as well as steady walk in business.
I would definitely go back!

We have been loyal Protos Pizza eaters for years. We ordered take out pizza this past Friday night and the crust was totally different from what it has been in the past. It was super thin and dense missing the airiness and bubbles it has alway had in the past. Hopefully the new owners didn’t mess with the crust recipe and this was just a bad night (which has never happened before). Part of why we loved Protos before was because it was consistently good.

By-far our favorite thin crust pizza in colorado!! Ordered a Roman and an AP, they were excellent, quick and very reasonably priced. The new managers seem like great people and we’re looking forward to seeing what their future plans are for this location!

I ordered a small pestoroni pizza with jalapeños. The crust was a bit thin but the crispness and overall flavor of the crust was great. And I wish they used fresh jalopenos instead of pickled. I sat on the patio and enjoyed a beer. The lush green trees, chirping birds and overcast skies made for the perfect ambiance. My server was super kind and prompt. Overall great experience. This place deserves a lot of love so I recommend you try it.

I’m eating at my favorite pizza spot, Proto’s Pizza. The pizza oven was imported from Italy. The thin crust pizza cooks in a flash.
I ordered the Vanilla Italian Cream Soda. Made with vanilla Monin syrup and just a splash of half and half.
The starter was a fresh Caprice salad with thick slices of tomato and mozzarella.
The pizza was the Traditional, homemade tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Can’t get more simple. The twist is the shredded mozzarella cheese is famous Bocio Cheese, which has a splash of Buffalo milk added. A delicious creamy cheese.
I watched a Margharita D.OH.C. boxed up. It was unlike any margharita pizza I’ve ever seen. Chuncks of tomato, with the basil added AFTER baking. I try that one next time!
I can recommend the original Proto’s Pizza with the highest quality.
Ps: the same manager has been running the restaurant since the day it opened in 1999. She deserves a raise!

We’ve eaten here enough that we’ve had absolutely everything on the menu twice. I like the staff, the food’s amazing, I’d really love it if they hadn’t expanded local beer list. That’s my only complaint

Came here after a few nights of camping. The pizza was pretty good, service could have been more talkative to guests instead of to each other. In my opinion, it was a little pricey for what I got. I would go here again for a date night maybe but never to just go get a pizza for dinner.

Glad I found this place on the way back to Denver. Excellent pizza with a fantastic thin crust and a nice crunch. Food overall was excellent and staff was great. Love the Proto pie! So good!

Amazing service! We had food delivered to our work conference room and the owner hand delivered the pizza on time. The food was hot and fresh and the owner is super friendly! Highly recommend the dine in experience as well!
