I have been here many times and have not had any issues like this. I know exactly what to expect when it’s cooked on foil and what it should look like..
Unfortunately, the steak I received appeared to have seasoning on it, both in taste and appearance. When I raised this concern, I was met with disbelief and dismissiveness from Thomas. Management insisted the steak was unseasoned, citing their words that they cooked it on aluminum foil as evidence—despite the fact that it did not match the expected appearance of meat cooked on foil, as I had requested and I have gotten in the past.
What followed was not only inappropriate but deeply troubling: I was pressured to take a bite of the steak to “prove” it had seasoning. This put my health at risk and showed a complete disregard for my allergy. When I refused to eat the steak, Thomas argued with me and acted bothered to remove the item from my bill.
This experience was not only unsafe but humiliating. I expect food establishments to take allergies seriously and to treat customers with respect and care. The one bite I took immediately made my tongue burn and be numb for quite a while.
The only person who even remotely acted like they cared, was our server Justina. Who was great by the way.
The picture on left was how they brought it to me. The picture on the right with no seasoning is how it is when properly cooked for me. Yes, I have a picture on file because of this situation that I’ve had to deal with multiple times. Those times the managers fixed it with no problems.
I don’t care the things get messed up what I care about is being treated like an idiot when it’s not my fault cause I’m not the one back there cooking it. No one should be made to feel like an idiot when they can’t control their dietary problems.
I hope someone will take this complaint seriously and implement better training and protocols for managing to ensure that no other customer is put in this position.
