Everytime we have to go to U of I hospital, we make it a point to stop here before heading back home and we never regret it. Prompt service, clean restroom and restaurant, and the food never disappoints. I had the parmesan chicken and sweet potatoes with cinnamon sugar and butter. So delish. And you definitely cannot go wrong with onion petals as an appetizer!

Let me start by saying that the steak was cooked right. However, everything in this restaurant is ridiculously salty! I couldn’t eat my food and asked to have it less “seasoned”. Eventually they brought out half “seasoned” fries and 7 peppered steak. It was still a bit salty, but edible. Everyone was friendly and polite. It is a lot quieter than other restaurants, so I liked that. I think I’ll stick with Texas Roadhouse, though. If I ever go back, I’ll definitely tell them to go easy on the “seasoning”, which to me tasted just like an excess of salt!

Went for dinner Monday night and had a great experience. The only con was a couple of flies flying in the dining room. Hostess was professional and our waiter did an outstanding job. He was patient, super efficient and professional. Pace of service, accuracy, steaks, all the food… everything was perfect.

Great customer service. Disappointed in the meals tonight. Ribeyes were very thin. Lots of fat. Porterhouse was like a t-bone. No filet attached. Over cooked. Rest of the food was great. Usually have awesome food. Dessert was very good!

We went to the Iowa City Longhorn Steakhouse at around 4pm to get a take-out ribeye dinner to satisfy a request by our son, who is in hospice. They went above and beyond in service by offering to cut his steak in small pieces because we wouldn’t have access to a decent knife in the hospital. When we got back to his room and took the meal out of the bag, we both broke into tears when we saw a piece of strawberry cake that we didn’t order. Written in marker on the top of the container was “STAY STRONG”. Thank you for having a heart Longhorn Steakhouse! We will be back.
