This is not what I expect from LongHorn Steakhouse—or at least not from the location at 1820 N. West Shore Blvd. in Tampa. I visited on Thursday, June 5th around 8:40 PM with my son. The restaurant was half full, and I specifically requested a booth so we could discuss some business privately.
Unfortunately, the hostess at the front was unfriendly and unprofessional, seating us next to a dirty table where guests had just left. She claimed there were no booths available—yet I could clearly see several empty booths around us.
I asked to speak with a manager, and a female manager arrived only to tell us the restaurant was “about to close” and therefore we couldn’t be seated at a booth. When I asked what time they closed, she replied 10:00 PM—we still had well over an hour. After an unpleasant exchange with both the hostess and the manager, we were finally given a booth.
This kind of attitude and lack of hospitality—especially from management—is unacceptable. It left a very bad impression. I truly believe both the hostess and manager need proper training on customer service and professionalism.
Sadly, this was a very disappointing experience, and I’ll definitely avoid this LongHorn Steakhouse location in the future.
