Ordered to go, got home and noticed the broccoli had a meal bug in it and after a few bites noticed the filet was rare when I ordered medium. The bread was not warm either. I’m not one to complain but I’ve had better from this location and probably will not be going back.

We got at the restaurant for an early dinner on a Thursday. First time visit. We normally eat at the Texas roadhouse in Athens. Not too crowded, not to loud. We were served rather quickly. My wife got the 9 ounce fillet, dinner salad, and broccoli. My wife thought that the fillet here was better than the Texas roadhouse. Are usually get the baby back ribs but today I just opted for the French onion soup. my wife liked the salad because it just wasn’t all lettuce and the broccoli was perfectly done, as well as the fillet was medium rare like she ordered it. I thought the French onion soup had a lot of cheese and the appropriate bread topping, however the broth was a lot more on the beefy side. It was ok for a change. Next time I will try another soup and the baby back ribs for a comparison to the Texas roadhouse.

Knowing it is Mother’s day we were good with waiting for our food to be prepared. However when it was served the chopped steak was severely under cooked. When we showed this to the manager he stated this was cooked correctly and when he was a waiter he wouldn’t let people order it medium since it would come out pretty raw. The manager did remove it from the check, we only wanted to let him know that it came out this way so he could keep it from happening to any one else. My question is, if when he was a waiter and wouldn’t let people order it medium why not make the change to cook it more like a steak where it has a little pink??

We ate here for dinner the other night because we had gotten a few giftcards to here. However I’m very glad most of the bill was covered from the giftcards and not out of pocket completely because my meal was just terrible. Our appetizer, on the other hand (the Spinach dip) was DELICIOUS! no complaints there whatsoever. For my meal I ordered the Filet(9oz)… I asked for it medium rare with Brussel sprouts as my side. Well my filet was cooked way under medium rare, it wasn’t warm fully threw, it felt like I was chew nothing but fat and raw meat. I had my boyfriend try it just to be sure I wasn’t just being picky and he couldn’t even swallow the piece I gave him. (He enjoyed his meal) and as for as my Brussel sprouts go they were WAY over cooked. I couldn’t taste anything but char from the grill/stove top. I was so furious I just wanted my bill and to leave so I didn’t have to wait again for my food because I was already starving at that point. As well as the waiter really never came around. I will just continue my business at the outback. In my opinion as a steakhouse I feel NO CUSTOMER should be unhappy ever with how there steak comes out.

Showed up last minute ..very little wait for two …Asked for 12 oz ribeye.. was cooked to perfection.. awesome sear and same temp all the way throughout.. loaded baked potato was awesome.. just enough topping for the whole thing… Shrimp was perfect and veggies were great… Veggies not over cooked just enough pop in them to be yummy… Spicy chicken bites had just enough kick in them to be yummy… Great job tonight cooks and waiting staff

My wife and I love to come here when I get off the road. The only thing I’ve ever noticed is that the steaks are not hot and miss. I’m not picky, so most of the time, they’re cooked nice. Sometimes, especially the last time we went, it was way under cooked. I still ate it as I don’t believe in wasting perfectly good food. We love coming here, the staff is always friendly and prompt, love the bread, and the atmosphere and decor is nice.

This place gets packed! We came here on a Monday evening and had a 10 minute wait. Our server was slammed, but she still did a good job. The food was mediocre. My husband’s steak was overcooked and too salty.
