And if you’re in the mood for lunch under a thatched roof while you gaze out at the whitecaps, then you’re in luck. Grab a pound of citrus poached shrimp and a coconut crusted grouper sandwich. Then toss back a painkiller. My how the minutes fly by. Thankfully you can charge it all to your room before stumbling down to the shore.
Ashely was a fun and friendly waitress who enhanced our experience. I’d come back, even if I wasnt staying here.
One bummer tho… who puts caramel on a key lime pie?
We came here to check out a time share. Tia’s pleasant personality and overall care and knowledge of the hotel that she represents made us feel very welcomed and appropriated. Highly recommend this Hotel! We will be back
Our experience was pretty bad. To give props, the manager comped our meal after a pretty bad experience. Te server mentioned multiple time that they were short staffed but this should have been anticipated for a Friday night that is also a romantic holiday.
The service was very very slow. Probably 10 minutes to get acknowledged at our table, another 15 minutes to order. Another 10 min to get my first drink. So 30-35 minutes in.
35 minutes later we got 2 of our 3 dishes. Ordered another drink. It took over 25 minutes. Ok, so we’re over an hour in and finally got some of our food. The fish was cold. My son’s food took 20 more minutes to show up. Me and my wife were done eating when he got his. Then I got my second drink, 25 minutes after I ordered it, and it was the wrong drink. It was ridiculous.
We really wanted to enjoy a nice Valentines dinner but this was pretty terrible. It was nice that we got comped and honestly I feel bad that the staff was having a rough night. But cold food, one and a half hours to get food and not all the food coming out together, wrong drinks being brought out and pretty rough service means I won’t be coming back.
It was windy tonight and a bit cool, the gentlemen who met us when we walked out to the patio knew exactly what we needed and in just in few minutes had us sitting under a perfectly placed heater.
We will be back soon!
P.S.
it took us a while to figure out where to park and where exactly the restaurant was. We might suggest the restaurant letting people know how easy it is to park across the street from the hotel Crown Plaza, behind the fire station and walk across the pedestrian bridge, enter the hotel and walk straight back to the restaurant. Parking is free.
— Food. Really good! Loved the fries and the bowl we had.
— Service. Unfortunately this lacked today. Our waitresses kind. But we weren’t really attended to very well. Could have been busy or something. But we waited a long time for ordering, food, refills, check, etc. Not a huge deal but not 5 star worthy.
— Atmosphere. I’m comparing this to other beach longboards. Nice outdoor area with some beach views. But very shady. Typically you can get some sunny areas and they had a small area for that. There was a large party going on that sorta dominated the area. All in all it was fine.
Would go again and try it on another day based on the food quality and being right on the beach.
Update after 4 days of stay- All the servers served me during breakfast except Erika, they tent to treat me different and less important if they saw that I have a prepaid voucher for breakfast
Half black lady first day- she didn’t even think of getting me a sugar, spoon and some sauce until I asked and I left without my unbutter toast
Old lady with- I told her unbutter toast and she mess up and she end up getting another one- but it was burnt
Mid age white- I asked for no cheese and no butter but still
So basically If I summarize this they should treat everyone the same as they paid breakfast during reservations
Sorry I don’t remember all there names but I love this hotel except the restaurant service
Left my rating to 3 star
