The prices are getting a bit ridiculous… but I’m afraid that is true with just about any fast food nowadays.
Shrug, okay. It’s not that busy. He should know.
We live out in the country. When we got home, we were short 2 fiesta bowls! I called. I said, “We were just there and we were…” He interrupted, “Two fiesta bowls…” He knew!!!
Because we live out of town, it took time to go get them. No apology, not very pleasant, nothing. Just kind of snippy and like it was our fault.
I used to be a big fan of KFC, but this isn’t the first just time of poor service. The food is not as good as it used to be. I’m done. Won’t go back.
Today is the final straw and we will not be back until the management makes significant changes to their operations. Tonight as we entered the drive through I noted that it looked like all the employees were on break outside smoking at the same time…. which is unusual but whatever if they have the staff.
We place our order and the girl seems to be friendly. She says the food isn’t ready and asks us to park out front. This has happened the past several trips so I wasn’t surprised.
After 30+ min of waiting in the front of the restaurant I decided to go in to find out how much longer. (I waited that long because there were several other cars like us that didn’t receive their food yet.
When I get in there a lady was yelling at the employees that they messed up on her order three times and that she has been there for 45 min. She warns me to make sure to verify my order as this is becoming a norm of not getting the correct items at this location.
They finally ask me if I need help and I inquire about my order. The person behind the counter, whom was later identified as Nick the Manager on Duty, tells me that they tried to deliver the order right after we ordered it and they couldn’t find us. I was shocked because nobody ever talked to us or anyone else.
He said the food was old and I would either need to be refunded or they can cook us new food. I tell him we wanted our food, that’s why we came to the restaurant. After about another 20-25 min of waiting at the counter I said I wanted a refund cause it was taking way to long. And at this point I would question the integrity of the people cooking it.
What’s disappointing is that all the employees spent the entire time I was watching them…. goofing around, cracking jokes or disappearing to the back room. After I asked for the refund the person cooking yelled awesome I get another free meal. The girl taking the orders said maybe we shouldn’t park people any more tonight because this keeps happening.
The manager on duty then refund us and gives us the wrong receipt to our refund. He then argues with us saying that he didn’t give us the receipt…. and I’m like then where did I get it. He then swapped it for one on his register. That made me wonder how many people have complained and were refunded tonight….. and yet they still managed to goof off.
The last thing I would state about them was how unprofessional the employees were. The things they were joking about and the things they were saying about the upset customer that just left the store was very unprofessional and if I were the manager I would replace the entire crew, with the exception of the girl taking the order. She seemed to be the only person with a head on her shoulders.
Oh I mentioned the employees were outside smoking. While waiting I counted them up and it appears that all but the girl taking the orders was on a smoking break at the same time….. I wonder if that would have something to do with them having so many upset customers tonight.
It’s also a KFC, so I don’t know, get a bucket of chicken and fish and got crazy, I guess.
