Usually I try to give good reviews because I’m a nice person. However this experience was so disappointing.
This is a 2 for one location with both KFC and Long John Silver’s there to order from
The manager was wearing a Long John’s uniform but said the Long John Silver’s side of the menu couldn’t be ordered from due to staffing issues.
Fair enough, I like KFC so why not!
I ordered a sandwich and two thighs.
Thighs were okay but very bland and had a peanut flavor to them.
The sandwich… My dog didn’t even want it.
It was horrible, dry, bland and the mayo tasted funny.
But, I’ve been to this place before and it used to be stellar. I wonder why it’s so bad now.
It’s a shame and kind of a rip off to the customer who is really looking forward to enjoying fish or tasty chicken.
I hope they can turn things around and take pride again in their food.

I have to say I am not usually impressed at this location by the service but tonight was so good I had to say something. First up I said what I wanted and the lady over the intercom set me up perfectly and the young man at the window was kind and courteous checking to make sure I had everything I needed. The whole experience was pleasant fast and efficient while the meal was perfectly cooked.

Stopped by the Mt. Vernon LJS for a quick pickup order. The drive through attendant was very courteous and well spoken. We ordered the 2 piece Chicken planks dinner with fries and the 3 piece fish dinner with fries. We were greeted with a smile and our drinks were ready. Our food arrived shortly after. The service was friendly and fast. Our food was hot and cooked well. The fries were hot and had a bit of crispness which we enjoy. The hush puppies were really good and the chicken planks and fish were just like we remember from years past. Great experience overall.

So we ordered on the app since we live 40 from there and had family from Topeka for the overnight. It let me pick a time to pick up and picked 6:15 and it said it would be ready. Yes we ordered $80 worth, but it said it would still ready. We arrived at 6:15 and I waited 5 min or so. Finally asked about my order and they said they just dropped some more and give them 25-30…..left and came back in 35. Went in and they said give them a couple more minutes. It had now been an hour and 10 since we had put the order in! I know they get busy, but for the love of God get a better system. I never complain, but no one should wait that long unless told beforehand and then you have a choice to either wait or go else where. The chicken was soggy, and the side were barely warm. Maybe we order fish next time

The place was nasty dirty. No way I would put my child in their high chairs. Windows were nasty, floor was sticky. Yuck.
Girl running the cash register was a combination of ignorant and rude. Order was wrong. The ONLY condiment they had was hot sauce. I was told they were out of everything else. Just an overall bad experience.

Terrible experience, went inside to eat, no sweet tea, no Dr Pepper, no ketchup and no tartar sauce. The cashier ladies boyfriend or whatever kept hanging around. the wait was 1 hour to get our food. We only order two meals.we asked for our money back or a food voucher but they pointed to a typed up sign that said no refunds by the cashier. They were out of fries for one of our meals, the fries we did get for the one meal were cold. Over all terrible business to treat customers that way. If anything, they could have said an estimated wait for the food . I can’t imagine if someone was in their lunch break. Terrible customer service.

Heed the reviews! We did not and wish we had. Should have walked out when my feet stuck to the floor. Don’t think it’s been mopped for a while. The fish-I don’t even know how to explain how bad it was. Not crispy at all and the breading was doughy. Thought maybe it had sat too long even though they had just opened so I asked for a fresh piece. It had a crisp to it but there was some weird goop under the crust.
I love Long John Silver fish and this fish was awful. Never had anything like this before. The Long John Silver restaurants near where we live in Texas have closed so we were so excited to stop for lunch today. Big mistake! This is the one that should be closed except I wouldn’t want the nice people that work there to be out of a job.
The bathroom was disgusting. Had to go next door to McDonalds to use the bathroom.

Wendy in and had to wait 1 hour for 2 chicken and French fry. They had not sweet tea, Dr. pepper, ketchup or any sauce for that matter. When ask for a refund or voucher and was told no we don’t offer that. I can’t believe it takes an hour at a fast food place. Be more mindful and up front with people on time and being out of product.

Spent 13 dollars and got the nasiest food I have had in a long time. Grease was probably 6 weeks old. Shrimp was cold and fish wasn’t eadable. Lesson learned. No more stopping there again!

We thought this would be a good choice. Some of us wanted chicken, some wanted fish. We were wrong. 5:30pm very few customers. Floor was a sticky mess from entrance to restrooms. Drink station looked like it had not been cleaned up for days. Husband said his original chicken tasted OK. The fries & fish tasted like old grease. Very disappointed in this location.
