this place is a cold, dead, sad husk of what it used to be. I used to go here as a kid and they had the fun barrels that you would dispense root beer out of, and it was clean and nice in there. it had a huge display of all the faux milkshakes and other sweets and foods. it was always yummy and staffed with friendly and COMPETENT staff. I went here a couple weeks ago to relive the nostalgia, and its all modernized in here and no staff to maintain it either. everyone who goes in there looks sad and unhappy to be here. the few times i have gotten it within the last year , my order has always been messed up in some way. the short haired woman who was taking my order, it must have been her first day or something. one other dude in the kitchen and this woman did not know what she was doing at all. good to know this company doesnt even have the means or money to train their staff properly, because she did not know how to take our order, did not know how to print the reciept and kept running off from us. when i was in the middle of eating she started ringing the bell at the counter, not by the door, saying she just wanted to ring it because it looked tempting. i dont blame her for being incompetent and unprofessional, i blame this dying company. the food is extremely overpriced now too, more expensive than mcdonalds even. over 30, close to 40$ for just 2 people with very basic orders, and it was horribly cold and soggy and disgusting, not to mention my order was messed up multiple times over the staff not knowing what they were doing. ive truly been surprised that this place is still open. makes me wonder what private investor is funding this sad, overpriced garbage now.

This was combined with KFC so you mainly got what KFC has. The fish was not cooked in clean grease it had black stuff all over it. I should have checked it but I did not and we live a hour away. I will be using the one in Mansfield they are always the best. Also the other problem was it was a drive thrue only they had the inside locked.

Most Long John’s employees are friendly and all that i have been to never tell me they are running low or out of vinager so they can’t give more then 1 or 2 pks a car no matter how much you order. Then open my meal and im short 2 hush puppies, the fries are almost invisible and we won’t talk about the pieces of chicken sizes. Never have I ever experienced this at a long John’s., very unfortunate but I understand the economy too but at least be friendly!

Took a picture and was rudely approached by either a crew member or manager said I couldn’t take pictures didn’t take any pictures of anyone accused me for working at McDonald’s i didnt even have a McDonald’s shirt or anythig and if I was going to be condemned for expressing my freedom of speech I wouldnt have came here will never get my service and I will be letting hr and the locals not to visit seems like they are always rude to people and dont show any hospitality i hope they change up the attitude because if I was anyone else I would have just walked out what an absolute worst experience i have ever been avoid this place if you dont want any bitchyness from the old lady you need to calm down

My order was messed up I placed an order through Uber Eats they left off my drink ordered extra pieces of fish in which I did not receive tried calling several times no one answered the phone which is why I’m giving low scores due to the price I paid not to mention delivery and tip this is in acceptable considering the price of everything nowadays

I typically don’t like to complain about little things but this whole experience was one of the worst.
We stood at the counter to order for about 5 minutes. Finally one of the older guys tells someone in the back that they have someone up front. He was polite and said shell be with us shortly. So she comes to the register and I don’t think she even asked what she could get for us. So we ordered.
2 people had already ordered together before we got there. We were waiting 15+ minutes while drive through people were passing through. (Maybe 3 or so cars). We finally got our order. I had chicken and my gf had chicken and fish. Her fish was pretty fresh but the fries and chicken were not. As you can tell by the picture the fryer grease is in a dire need of changing and tasted like it as well. We were also missing a hush puppy. Which she apparently said something about. (I couldn’t hardly understand what she said.)
Anyway I went up about 2 minutes after for some tarter sauce since the dispenser was empty (as well as the drink lids and just about out of napkins). I stood there for a minute or so while they were kind of just standing around and one dude was changing his shirt right in the open. When I asked for the sauce I mentioned the hush puppy and she just turns around and grabs 2 from a tray.
Thank you for the extra but what in the world were we waiting on this entire visit??? If there were hush puppies already done then why was there one missing? If we were there for 15 minutes I would have expected fresh food.
I can see that on all the other low rated reviews not a single one is replied to by the owner/operator. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE before this location is shutdown and all hope is lost.

There was important food on the menu that they didn’t have in store. They couldn’t even provide root beer floats which is what A&W’s brand is built on. This wasn’t a one time thing either, for the machine was allegedly broken without anyone knowing how to fix it when we went back about a week after.

I hadn’t been to a Long John Silver’s in years, so my comparison is to nostalgia. Now that my bias is established, I’ll try to be as close to objective as I can.
The best thing about this place was the service. That’s a good and a bad thing. I’ll explain. They took 5-10 minutes before taking my order while I was in plain view and really took about 5 minutes for a proper greeting of hi, we’ll be right with you in a minute. One dude was doing most of the leg work at the window and at the counter, so I had to cut them some slack.
Once they did take my order, I specifically said I haven’t been here in years, I’m looking for the fish (best batter I’ve ever eaten cod in to this day). We settled on the #10 with shrimp. I expressed an interest and concern in the grilled shrimp, but the lady taking my order assured me it was good. There was more water than flavor in that shrimp lol. It must have been frozen and just not cooked long enough, because grilling generally saps the moisture out of things. Also the fries were soggy, old and underseasoned. The cod was super salty and crunchy if not a tad overdone, but aside from that it was what I came for. It was everything I wanted it to be. I ordered the white rice, but I didn’t have the guts to try it after everything else.
The redeeming quality about the service: they gave me what seemed to be an extra container of the shrimp. Which was sweet in the gesture (hence why I was generous on the service rating), but when something wasn’t done well the last thing you want is more.
