It’s nice to know that Arizona still has a stand alone Long John’s Silver! I grew up in Tucson and our family went the LJS a lot. At this location the food is ready in no time. Hot and fresh! No complaints except maybe, a little skimpy on the mac and cheese. The staff was ok. Not over accommodating or friendly. Just ok. The restaurant had many dirty tables that it was hard to pick where to sit. The dining area did need attending to. I will be back even though I live 3 hours away. My doctor is right down the street and I see her every 3 months!

It’s been 20+ years since I ate at LJS.
Overall, the experience was great.
We traveled very far, and had no idea what to expect. The menu / recipes hasn’t changed to my happy surprise!
I felt they could have tended to some tables that needed to be from last patron, but it was a slight rush, so I can understand.

I haven’t eaten at a LJS in probably 25 years and was craving some fish and shrimp. I ordered 1 pound of shrimp and a family meal of fish, both kinds of Mac and Cheese, and cheese bites. When I got home I opened the shrimp box which looked pretty light so I weighed it in the box and combined it weighed 6oz, the fish was grease logged on bottom and was filled with about 1″ of greasy breading that wasn’t even on the fish. In all I spent $65 and was only able to eat about $10 worth of food. I contacted their office and they gave me a $5 discount on my next visit. We’ll they will be saving $5 because there will never be a next visit. The only positive thing I would say about my visit was the front staff a young lady and gentleman were nice and appeared hard working.

This location has a dining area inside and a drive-through.
They do have a couple of grilled options on the menu, but most everything else is deep-fried. Sides are usually waffle fries, corn, rice, green beans, or coleslaw.
This will not be a low-calorie meal. It is also not “fast” food.
Once your order is placed, you will probably have to wait 15-25 minutes for it to be prepared. ⏱️
The dining room was clean when we came in for dinner.
They had a couple specials and they do have an app with some rewards and loyalty deals. It will still be about $10-$20 per person depending on what you order.
We ordered their classic fish and chips(waffle fries), some fried shrimp, and a piece of the white-meat, fried chicken strip.
They used to have the condiments out in the dining area, but this location just had packets of cocktail sauce, ketchup, tartar sauce, ranch, hot sauce, sweet & sour sauce, honey mustard, and malt vinegar.
The food was good. It was hot when we got it. It did take at least 20 minutes for it to be ready. When my grandma was alive, she would say she had a craving for “grease” and we knew that she wanted to eat at Long John Silver’s. If you like fried foods, this is a great restaurant.

Quality of the food here is excellent considering it’s pretty much fast food but the service has always been excellent as well… We live in a perfect world and last time I was there I waited in line 20 minutes at the drive-thru and then they told me they didn’t have my order and asked me to reorder and then wait again and said they would give me a free pop… I walked out of the store disappointed for the first time hopefully that doesn’t happen again. I feel the staff does a great job there but whoever took my order that day was more interested in his cigarette break then making sure my order was placed properly.

I have loved Long Johns since I was a kid. While some of their locations have not aged well, this one is a gem!

The food was great – what we expected. We had both fish and chicken. The hushpuppies were crisp and fresh. And of course, we had a side of crumbs

Service was friendly and efficient.

The restaurant was clean, fairly busy.

Nice to see a classic restaurant still maintains their quality and magic. We’ll be back and ring that bell.

Our family all love the fish @ LJS, and they have some great deals if you download their app, but sometimes they get very busy at mealtimes…Which is a great sign of high demand for good food.
I got home with my order once and we were shorted one piece of fish. On my next trip I explained the situation and the worker helping me was so nice about the whole thing and gladly made it right. He happened to be Chandler, the manager, and he exhibited some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, all while helping others, taking orders during a very busy period, with a smile the whole time…I was very impressed, kindness under pressure is the sign of a great person, and an even better manager. Thx Chandler, you’ve definitely earned our business!!!

Food was fresh, hot and delicious but the best part was the customer service! We visited today for dinner and my boyfriend had some questions about their specials and using the app. The young lady who was helping us, Ms. Gabby was very patient and was able to explain to us what we needed to do. She didn’t know how to apply a free meal, but Chandler stepped in right away and helped her calmly and professionally. Great teamwork and we will definitely visit again. Very pleasant manners and willing to help us, that says a lot. Especially these days!

The fish is very good, served hot and fresh. The service for carry-out/pick-up is frequently extremely slow. Most recent order was placed online more than 30 minutes ahead of time, but when I showed up to pick up the order, they left me waiting nearly 10 minutes before telling me “we’re dropping the fish now” (presumably into the deep-fryer) “and it’ll be 5 minutes”. They weren’t particularly busy (only 1 walk-in ahead of me, plus 2 cars at the drive-thru). My order should have already been packed and ready by the time I arrived, instead of having to wait an additional 20+ minutes after arrival. This is a pattern of poorly-planned order fulfillment that keeps repeating. Management needs to examine where the cause rests, and fix it.

This is probably the best/cleanest fast food restaurant I’ve seen since the 80s. The manager Chandler is a breath of fresh air in a world where nobody seems to take pride in their work anymore. Food, speed and service were all excellent Couldn’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be back soon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
