I liked the old LJS but I do not have any problem with the new look. The design of the new store allows more light and likely better cleaning. The chicken is still the same which is why I went. The fish tacos have way too much lemon in them though. They were out of Mac and cheese and I was bummed to find out they no longer have corn on the cob and now just have canned corn. The biggest issue I have at this location is the staff; they directed us to the self order kiosks which are so dirty they barely pick up the finger touched on the screen so becomes frustrating. They did not greet us or say anything to us unless forced when informing us they were out of something. There were 5 of us so our bill wasn’t small. Very disappointed in the service we received there.

I’m a first time customer and I’d like to start with the guy who took my order, very disrespectful and cut me off mid-sentence to ask me if ‘I’m almost done’. My husband and I both ordered the Super Sampler Platter, and he found a long black hair in his food. Popcorn shrimp, hush puppies, and the fish were tough and seemed overcooked. I ordered a side of coleslaw which I immediately spit out because it was warm and tasted spoiled. Almost all of the shrimp had a lot of its digestive track spilling out, which I know some is normal but I felt a pop in my mouth, and spit it out (included in picture). My husband and I were excited to try this place especially since it’s been remodeled but paying $36.21 for this… is not worth it. We won’t be back.
I’d like to note; the girl who handed us our food at the window was such a sweetheart. I think her name is Maija (shown on receipt). She was very friendly and attentive.

New and improved Long John Silvers and I loved it. People all working were very respectful. Cook my food fresh and fast. The whole place was clean spotless. The cashier was very warm and welcoming. They all we’re. The 30 minute drive was with it. Been wanting shrimp amd chicken for along time. Food was outstanding but it is greasy on the stomach. So FYI those who have heart or belly issues. Be careful, but who can resist a those Crispy cruches.

One fish sandwich on the menu, from a takeout fish place?
I haven’t been to LJS in…..20 years(?) And all the sudden I had a yearning for a fish sandwich. The menu is dumb. I’ll just put that out there. I pulled up, looked at menu and was almost about to just leave because I didn’t see one. But, lo and behold, there it was.
I consider Culvers fish sandwich to be the benchmark, and let me tell you this one fell well, well, WELL short of the mark. The bread was so chewy and tough to bite through that it squished what little fish that was there completely out the sides, along with the copious amount of sauce.
There were no napkins, so I used the plastic bag to wipe my hands and then cleaned my steering wheel thoroughly when I got home.
Lesson learned.
Service was fine. I’m going to assume it took so long to get the sandwich because they were looking up how to make it, because they obviously serve so few the bread gets hard and they only have the one on the menu and they didn’t themselves even know they had it.
Yeah, don’t order the fish sandwich. Ouch….just bad.

Need a quick meal, love seafood AND hushpuppies? This needs to be your fast-food spot. I’ve never had a bad or cold meal here. Ever. How many fast-food establishments can you say this about? Prices are reasonable, waits aren’t bad, and their food is fresh and hot!

We went to Long John Silvers 11-21 at 7:30..We had the best experience! Food was fresh and hot. Dining room was clean and the 3 ladies working rocked it…. We are huge LJS fans. This was the best experience because your employees not once made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. Also the smiles…. I needed this… You ladies truly made my day!!!

Something is definitely wrong with this place. Several things – this LJS location is really awful in every way, and I’ve been a lifelong fan of LJS. With just three other dine-in orders and only a couple of drive-thru orders it took them over 35 minutes to get our order. The others dining in & waiting were all equally very annoyed at the total lack of communication and absence of anyone in charge. They weren’t busy, just extremely slow and totally non-communicative workers. This was on a Saturday at 12:45pm. After 32 minutes I politely told them we had to go somewhere and couldn’t wait any more and requested a refund but the girl literally ignored what I said and just walked away without a word. As each order eventually showed up the counter worker virtually whispered the name it was for. Everyone waiting would ask “Who???”. Every time. The chicken we eventually got was the nastiest chicken I’ve had anywhere. It had a wet, rubbery texture and zero flavor. Not edible. No wonder the place was practically empty at lunchtime on a weekend. Don’t waste your time or money here! Bad experience in every way. Will never come back to this location.

The food was good but oily. My order was wrong, but they made it right. Employees were friendly, however, it took 45 minutes for me to get my food from time of placing the order. It was better when it first came back from the fire, but has since gone downhill.

We were on our way to another fast food establishment when, to our surprise, we see that LJS was opened up again on West Main. We immediately turned around and went into LJS for lunch. So GLAD we did. We were very happy with our meals and will go back again.

When you first opened the food was so good. What happened? My shrimp is hard and so is my fish. I only got 4 waffle fries. Very disappointed because we eat here quite often and so do our friends. I guess no more take out next time. I can’t believe I wasted my money on this!
