Despite this being my maiden voyage into the waters of any Long John Silver’s, I can say—hand on compass and rum bottle nearby—that it was a most victorious expedition. In true Captain Jack Sparrow fashion, I arrived expecting chaos, mutiny, and perhaps a soggy biscuit, yet instead I was greeted with service as warm and welcoming as a favorable wind at sea. Much like my experiences at Chick-fil-A, the crew delivered my meal with politeness, efficiency, and a smile that said, “We know what we’re doing, mate.” The food? Positively plunder-worthy—rich in flavor and prepared with the skill of seasoned sailors who clearly know their craft. I’ve heard the whispers and rumors circling this franchise like ghost ships on the horizon, but based on my personal encounter, they’re nothing but sea tales. The restaurant was nearly empty, not because no one desired the fare, but because many patrons clearly preferred to carry their treasure home and feast in comfort. That said, the calm atmosphere only enhanced the experience, making it a fine place to sit, relax, and enjoy a delightful meal. All things considered, I would wholeheartedly recommend docking here, dropping anchor, and savoring both the excellent food and the outstanding customer service—proof that sometimes the best voyages are the ones you least expect.

Went to this location just after the lunch rush when the parking lot was nearly empty and were the only customers at the order counter. One guy behind the counter walked by us a couple of times and one other guy came from behind the counter brushed past us and walked outside. After 7 mins of being invisible we left and went elsewhere. I can’t say it is the worst service I have ever gotten at a restaurant because there was no service offered.
Long John Silvers did respond to my review with a web site to take a survey that doesn’t seem to exist.

Online pickup. Order thru drive thru employee service was so rude ruffing the window closing it in the middle of me asking for some more tarter sauce packs and 3 more packs of sweet and sour sauce just closed window and left me waiting for 10 minutes then came back rudly told me ..that’s all u get.. I stated I got a 9 pc.xhicken and on two sauces I need 5 please it’s on the online pickup order, she said well ur only getting two. I said okayyyyyy. I don’t care to pay for it just ring it up and I’ll pay it okay. Shut window again came back with two tarter sauce plastic ounce cups with lid on them and just held arms out and started at me. 8 didn’t want to take them nor did I use them she was out of view of filling them in dining room and I was afraid of being spit in cause how mad and rude she was. U told her if I could just get 3 more Sweet and sour sauce and pay for it I’ll be good to go..she shut window again hard came back approx 6 min. And handed me 3 sauces and shut window again hard and left and never came back. Needless to say she had no idea I worked for company for years. And knew Randy Phillips and Joe Harris corporate office men ..with years of work with ljs. If any employees of mine or theirs back then .we would had fired them on spot. 100 percent unacceptable….this kind of service can ruin a business quick. And I know Randy Phillips and Joe Harris would agree with me. ..i love ljs..for sure food and the business. But employees like this they do not need in company at all… Thank u for listening.. Randy Phillips and Joe Harris were director of operations Joe was till promotion and same for Randy Phillips he was so close to past ceo ruckweikle. ..it’s been years back in 80’s I was there with them a ljs. But.. they were the big ones..there. They would be so disappointed and angry at same time an employee was so rude..

Been awhile since I’ve been here & this is probably the last time! I got the Fish & it was ok but when I went to eat 1 of the Hushpuppies I about broke a tooth – Literally could NOT bite into it!!! This was All of them – Mine & my Husband’s were uneatable – He got the Chicken & said it didn’t taste the same as he remembered it & it was Very Greasy – Only thing that was pretty good was the Coleslaw – We were the only ones in the restaurant & Every table was filthy so I had to clean one off so we could sit down – Also we could hear the employees talking & some curse words were heard which I did NOT appreciate! Needless to say we will NOT be back!

I had been craving fish and chicken, so decided to drive 45 minutes to the Hopkinsville, KY location. I couldn’t even bite into the chicken. I asked for a fresh one. I felt like the employees get upset over having to make fresh food. It’s like they threw an old piece of chicken in grease and served it. You get your plate of what’s done and then the popcorn shrimp had to be cooked while I was eating my other food. The employees are rude and need to look professional, not sagging pants showing underwear and being on cellphones constantly.

For 2 meals they gave us 1 cocktail sauce and 1 tarter sauce. I went in to get more, again 1 and 1 (do the sauces come out of their checks?) Also why ask me what sauces I want if you’re going to treat me like I’m a bother when I do. I get home and noticed they didn’t give me tarter sauce they gave me honey mustard.

For the first time in a while, I decided to stop and eat at Long John’s for some fish. Wow, I was was so disappointed in the changes that have been made in this restaurant. The only thing that reminded me of the Long Johns of the past, was the hush puppies. Nothing else tasted the same. Sorry LJS of Hoptown, your employees were very nice, but the food quality has gone down so much, and I truly hate to say this about one of my favorite childhood restaurants.
