Today May 2nd, 2025 was the long anticipated grand reopening of Long John Silvers in Spartanburg South Carolina on Garner Road. We were there when the doors opened at 10am.
This location has been here ever since I was a teenager and I’m 55 years old. They shut it down, tore it down and rebuild the whole thing and it was much needed. All I have to say is bravo to you. Today’s meal was just like old times. Everything was delicious the way it used to be years and years ago. The restaurant is bigger and clean and everyone was super nice and professional just as a restaurant should be. The only thing they said was wrong was that the prices on the menu hadn’t been updated. Everything else was great. Please stay this was and we will be forever customers

My boyfriend and I came here on Saturday after a visit in the area. Mike took our order and was so nice. We ordered one meal the fish and shrimp platter. Mike made it easy by asking if we needed another plate. Our meal came quickly and was delicious. Mike checked on us to see if everything was good. The team looked happy.

Service was good as I was at the kiosk and I hate them the girl at the counter took my order so I wouldn’t have to do that. The restaurant was clean and ok but the food was not up to expectations, was disappointed

Our dining experience was enjoyable and relaxing. We were greeted as we entered the restaurant and were checked on while we dined. Food is very fresh and delicious. Came out hot.
Restaurant is clean and well cleaned. The gentleman working behind the counter Saturday early afternoon September 27th was very knowledgeable of the menu and offerings. He also was out on the floor, sweeping, cleaning tables and checking on customers. A great talent which seems to be lost with most restaurant staff in today’s era but not with this gentleman.
We will be frequent customers to this Long John Silver’s!!!

I love long John silvers. I do wish though that they’d give a choice of regular fries and waffle fries. I don’t like waffle fries. Plus the need to go back to the chicken they used to serve. This new chicken is to chewy and tough. Change these two things and it’ll be perfect.
