Had an incredible dinner tonight. The manager Michael was extremely friendly and came by our table several times to check on us. Our waitress Brittany was also fabulous!

Got the appetizer of Shrimp and Grits, very large portions especially for the pricing. Everything was fairly priced for the serving size and the atmosphere was amazing. We had Britney as our waitress, and she handled business in a very professional and controlled manner. Amazing restaurant, highly reccomend

What a great experience, sat outside with the family and had a wonderful feast, generous portions and pours, tasty seafood and friendly staff, I had the stuffed shrimp which was divine with mash and veggies! I have been once before and will return again, the rose bottle was great as well! Come down to IOP and have a great time at Long Island cafe!

Definitely a waste of time and money. Due to the outrageous attitude of our waiter Corry. Corry is rude, condescending, and disrespectful. We were appalled at his behavior. Literally brushing off my wife with a flick of his hand when asked for the bill. Then making us wait 10 minutes before bringing it. Corry’s opinion of the dressing I requested on a Chopped Salad and his attitude of my wife asking the difference between the Flounder preparation was unnecessary. Although this restaurant could have been something to rave about , it was not. We strongly believe Corry should look elsewhere for employment as the service industry is definitely not for him. Definitely will not be returning and suggest to others not to waste precious vacation time and money.

Awesome spot to eat with friends at the beach. The professional staff made us feel like family right away. Fresh bread and appetizers came out quickly. Oysters were delicious! Generous entree portions. Only regret was not ordering the calamari… Next time!

We had a wonderful experience last night at this restaurant. I had the pasta primavera special with shrimp and my mother had the flounder. Both of us said this was the best meal we had had in a while! The staff also goes above and beyond. We were greeted by the hostess and the manager when we arrived, and then our server was incredibly kind and perfectly attentive. Top notch experience. This is a local gem!

We used to go here all the time…it has switched owners. Would love to review the food, but we walked out. Sat there in an empty dining room and no waitress…but they were really great at giving us water once we sat down and about ten minutes later even though we didn’t drink the first ones. Looking at the menu…the prices went up substantially. Stuffed shrimp used to be $26…new owners bumped it up to $38! That’s insane. There are so many great options in the area…no need to pay through the nose for food. We aren’t tourists…we don’t over pay! So disappointed. Went to our other local fave instead. Great food and prices unchanged. Won’t be going back. So sad.

Just went to dinner there last night and the person who was taking my orders, etc., was beyond top-notch in terms of communication and service.
And the Southpaw Superstar young man who was doing a lot of hard work was diligent and a wonderful young man to speak with.
So it is about time for me to praise you to the heavens.

This was an excellent experience! We had the crab cakes, broiled shrimp, and a dozen NC oysters. They were all delicious! I highly recommend this place for a special occasion. It is pricey, but we didn’t feel that it was not worth it. #seafoodlover #foodie #nomnom

Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service!! My friend and I ate supper here and were so glad we did!! It was clear by the clientele that it’s where the locals eat, as everyone knew each other… Which let’s you know it’s a GREAT place! Will definitely be back the next time I’m in the IOP!
