Today was my first time eating at the Long island bagel cafe. I got an egg and cheese on a bagel and it was delicious. and would definitely come back for another but the price for one sandwich and a 8oz OJ shouldn’t be 16$. The staff was nice but they all looked miserable and the store had barely been open. Ill have to try again another day to see if the vibes better

Went here for first time today and have to say the BEC was excellent. And not sure why so many comments on here about “rude staff”. The guy who served me was pleasant, seemed happy to be there, had a smile and was a pleasure. Only complaint is that it costs $8.17 cash price and didn’t include a coffee or OJ but other than it being a bit over priced I will definitely be going back – the sandwich was probably top 5 that’s I’ve had on the Island, at least made by this gentleman this morning.

They get a little busy so sometimes might be a wait (on the weekends especially), but they usually are staffed pretty well so not too bad. The amount of traffic is how you know it’s good. Definitely one of the best in the area

So much more than just a bagel place though the bagels are top notch. My wife loves the build your own chopped salad bar and They have a ton of cold and hot hero’s. I got the Manhattan with a ton of roast beef, grilled onions, bacon and mozz on a toasted garlic hero. It was huge and delicious and came with a side of slaw that was excellent. Washed it all down with a 1/2 lemonade 1/2 ice tea which hit the spot. You can tell it’s a neighborhood go to. If you’re looking for a great bagel or hero this is the place.

Love this place! The bagels are some of the best on the island. Every time I go anywhere else I wish I went here! The side salads are amazing too plus the sandwiches. I’ve been going here for years and I’ve always found the employees to be very nice & accommodating!

Staff is always rude. This is the 3rd time I got a simple bagel with cream cheese that has a layer so thin I don’t even tase the cream cheese. They couldn’t even get the order of a dozen bagels right.

Given that my place of birth is Brooklyn I would like to think I know a good bagel when I eat it. The bagels and other foods in LI Bagel Cafe are outstanding and the staff work hard to make eating here a fine experience.

The counter gentleman was curt and fouled up the order. Asked for scrambled served fried requested cheddar he put American. My adult son tried to add a few items. He told him to step away until I said he was with me. I understand the day before a holiday can be hectic but that does excuse rudeness or an incorrect order.

Bagel cafe is hit or miss, it all depends on who is serving you and if they’re having a bad day. Unfortunately i’ve had multiple incorrect orders and i don’t realize it till i get all the way home. if you order a toasted bagel with light butter they decide to put their own twist on it!I feel like the simple mistakes could all be avoided if they payed attention and wrote down the order. Also notice how each time i get a different server my total is always a different amount on my order even though i always get the same thing. This place could use a little bit of re-training because the employees are always too busy chatting with each other talking over food that they are prepping to get the order right. I hope they make some changes!!!

This place used to be so good! Not anymore! People they work there are always seem to be in a bad mood! Orders are always wrong! And has gotten ridiculously expensive! This is a pic of my order (Didn’t realize I can post a picture here so half of sandwich is gone) a ham and cheese sandwich with a pickle and a little Cole slaw $18.53!!! No drink or anything else!
