Service was nonexistent. Only one server/cashier/dishwasher. Bless her heart. I had to clean up my own spill and never got a refill on my first cup of coffee, $3. Asked for extra pickle and got a ton. A+. Never offered a refill on our sodas and has to fetch our own leftover clam shells from behind the counter. Felt like home.
Cost $55 for the 2 meals pictured. With tip, $70. I gave the young lady a substantial tip, though, regardless of the unsat service. I looked for her to check out after waiting patiently at my table for 20 minutes, no proof-of-life. I found her in the skullery up to her elbows in dish washing suds.
The atmosphere is akin to walking into my great g-ma’s house and becoming overwhelmed by the visual onslaught of nik-nacs, paddy-wacs, and photogs affixed to nearly every available wall space. Nice touch but minimal access to view them with any intentionality. Guest tables line the walls which ultimately restrict avenues of approach. Picture a museum exhibit sans the viewing lanes.
Bring cash. NO CARDS CCEPTED! ATM in the bar with typical 3%-15% service charge per withdrawl. More out, less charged, right?
Food is delicious. A bit over cooked but delicious all the same. Only 10 tables that serve guests. About 40-45 guest limit. Didn’t notice an occupancy limit sign, so just a guess.
I’d return for another round but I’m concerned that I’d have to beg for a refill cup of coffee. I mean, don’t take my word for it. Check out the Longbranch if you’re ever in Weston, Oregon after a weekday visit to the snow parks near Tollgate. My opinion? Not quite up to the rep that proceeded it. Ciao.
The small historic town is a little off the beating path, but well be orth the drive. I am very happy to recommend this business for a great history lesson and meal.
little town of Weston for breakfast. We split a Denver omelette and “spuds” but ask for an extra biscuit. It was more than two of us could eat!! A true old-timey small town cafe…
