Lomitas used to be such a great Mexican restaurant…I haven’t been here in years. I was so looking forward to a delicious Mexican dinner. Wow. The service was very poor: it wasn’t even busy and it took them so long to get my refills, new chips etc. The chips don’t taste the same and look burned. The salsa literally tastes like marinara sauce with a few onions, cilantro and onion tossed in. Very disappointed and will not return.

First time ever going to a Mexican buffet and the food was quite tasty and EXTREMELY filling. I definitely didn’t need that second plate but couldn’t resist! They offered great lunch specials too but I had to try the buffet, even though the Quesabrirrias sounded delicious too.

I had the Fajitas Texanas and, of course it came with rice and beans, pico de gallo etc..
This is my go to meal I always order!
There were the usual salsa and chips. It was nice to get a bowl of both the house and a spicier one as well.

There must be well over a hundred plus menu items to choose from.
2 things to note:
The font size was so small that I almost left the restaurant to retrieve my reading glasses from my vehicle.
It’s rare that I need them to read a menu.

My new favourite Mexican restaurant in Fort Dodge Iowa.
With there beeing over a dozen places to go for Mexican food.
The competition is fierce, and it pushes every place to up their game!
I’m back here again January 2026. I had the lunch buffet today! I think I may have stretched my stomach to a new size today. LOL!

The food was ok. They had good drink specials tho, so that was a plus. The chicken nachos had a lot of bell peppers. I got the molecajete and it was pretty basic. Need to go back and try some other food.

Let’s celebrate . Had my daughters and grandaughters birthday party there. Party of eight had delicious appetizers, cocktails,main dinners ending with fried ice cream for all under 200 dollars. Love this olace.

They were busy so drink and food orders took awhile other than that no complaints!

Fun times

The lengua wasn’t that great and the chip salsa tasted like ketchup other than that everything else was good especially the horchata plus I wished that the buffet would be like that always not just half of the day.
Also the desserts were good I’m sorry really good.
So would I go back there again yes I would but just not eat the stuff that wasn’t that great.
