Lombardi’s is one of those rare restaurants that gets everything right — classic Italian comfort, warm hospitality, and a level of consistency that keeps you coming back. The food is always exceptional, from the fresh pastas and thick cut bone-in steaks to the beautifully prepared seafood specials. The service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and relaxed.

Whether it’s a family dinner, a business lunch, or a night out with friends, Lombardi’s never disappoints. A true local gem that captures the spirit of great Italian dining right here in New Canaan.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Always excellent.

Fantastic authentic Italian food and service. You will feel like you are in Italy! The chef is amazing and pasta is perfect and homemade. Every detail is impressive down to the olive oil served with the fresh baked bread. Juan is a true professional server with fantastic recommendations. Best Italian food in the area. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Absolutely perfect dining experience.

We finally made it to Lombardi’s in New Cannan, and what an incredible experience! The atmosphere is spot on, beautiful decor, warm energy, everything just right. Dinner was outstanding, we started with house made beef meatballs and Calamari Fritti. Then we had the most delicious Tonnarelli alla Carborana with fresh shaved truffle table side, this was the most delicious carbonara style pasta I’ve ever had! We also really enjoyed the Cotoletta alla Milanese paired with great wine and even better company. Can’t wait to return!! Congratulations.

Awesome Italian spot in New Canaan!

My wife and I have been waiting to try out Lombardis. We started with the Burrata appitizer and it was delicious.
For dinner, the sea bass was super fresh and perfectly cooked — crispy skin, flaky inside, and full of flavor. The veal Milanese was another standout: crispy, tender, and topped with fresh arugula and shaved Parm. Simple but done right.
Great wine pairings too —my wife loved the Pinot Grigio with the fish and I had two glasses of the Supertuscan with the veal. Finished with an espresso and Limoncello because… why not?

Service was friendly and the vibe was classy but relaxed. Definitely coming back.

Finally had a chance to try this new spot. Overall, it was a great experience. I started with the Bianco Martini (think lychee but upscaled). Next for our appetizer we had the Frittatina Napoletana, which was over the top delicious. The salmon dish was good but didn’t quite compare to the Fettuccine Al Tartufo. The only issue we had was the acoustics in the main dining area, my partner and I had to raise our voices to carry on a conversation and had to have the waiter repeat himself a couple of times.

Lombardis is the new, authentically Italian restaurant in downtown New Canaan, across the street from the New Canaan bookstore and Rosie’s, and with a convenient back entrance onto Morse Court where there is plenty of parking. The food, service and ambiance are all excellent.
First, the food is of the highest quality. We sampled the tomahawk steak, two kinds of pasta, the calamari appetizer and the French fries which are probably the best in town, light and crispy. The calamari was also so light, not greasy! Our friends came in after seeing a movie, sat ant the bar and they raved over the lobster ravioli, the tuna tartare appetizer and the sea bass in particular. The service is excellent even though the place was packed. Attentive, not intrusive.(you know what I mean) Finally, the ambiance. The decor is tastefully understated, showing restraint, with indirect lighting, classic white linen tablecloths, crystal and hammered flatware. The chairs are very comfortable, particularly the padded, backed bar seating. I noticed soundproofing on the ceiling and walls, two thumbs up. Upstairs at Lombardis is seating for about 40 with private bar if you want to host an event, a birthday, a rehearsal dinner, whatever, a larger version of the private room at Elm or Roger Sherman. Let me conclude by saying it should always comes down to the food and value and Lombardi’s succeeds with classic Italian at a fair price.

When I heard a new Italian place was opening in New Canaan, my initial reaction was, “just what the town needs, another Italian spot,” however my interest was piqued when I read about their dedication to authentic Italian recipes.
The food is fantastic and very good quality. My pasta was delicious, the meatballs were tender and full of flavour and the mozzarella and prosciutto were high quality.
Our waiter was very nice and was professional.
Unfortunately it is loud inside and the tables are very small, (two appetisers didn’t fit on our table!) The restaurant is priced on the higher end and is positioning itself as a fine dining option, but the atmosphere didn’t quite match that.
Overall, worth checking out, you won’t be disappointed by the food

New Canaan’s culinary scene just got a remarkable new addition. This recently opened upscale restaurant brings refined Italian flavors to life with elegance and authenticity.
One standout dish that deserves special mention is the squid ink pasta with shrimp tartare, featuring shrimp imported directly from Mazara del Vallo, creamy stracciatella and toasted pistachios.
Each bite transports you straight to the Mediterranean.
The ambiance is as thoughtfully crafted as the menu—sophisticated, warm, and effortlessly stylish. Service is attentive without being overbearing, making the entire experience seamless from start to finish. Bravo
Can’t wait to come back!!!

I don’t write many reviews, but while taking my last bite of dessert last night, I knew I had to take the time to do it. My husband and I went to Lombardi’s last night, and honestly, everything was incredible. I’m a pretty picky eater, but every single dish blew me away. Our waiter recommended a few things we normally wouldn’t have ordered, and I’m so glad we took his advice. I’m not even a pistachio fan, but the pistachio dessert at the end was out of this world.

My husband had the fettuccine with truffle and said it’s the first time in ages he’s found one that actually lived up to his expectations—it was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the staff couldn’t have been better—friendly, knowledgeable, and super professional. We’re already talking about when we can go back!

As soon as you walk in your eyes are in awe from the decor. Beautiful restaurant. From the steak to the pasta and the pistachio desert was absolutely fantastic. Let me not forget the well crafted cocktails and wine list. This guy really brings dining in Italy right to New Canaan, CT.
