To be honest, I really love Mediterranean food, so I was very excited to discover L’Olive…
The food was very distinctive. Although I usually avoid fried food, I still ordered the Mediterranean Branzino. The fish, with its thin skin, was pan-fried until crispy and delicious, and the flesh was tender.

My family also raved about the other dishes. The service was friendly and attentive.

The only downside was that the restaurant smelled of kitchen grease and cooking fumes from beginning to end, which was quite disappointing.

This is simply fantastic! We never thought we’d find ourselves in such a wonderful place, and the food was delicious and fresh. I highly recommend it!! And we will definitely come back here again! We should have taken pictures before eating…

What a find! White tablecloths and a sophisticated ambiance coupled with delicious aromas greet you as you enter this restaurant in a nondescript strip mall. We had a large party and everyone was served promptly, the food was hot, and it was plated exquisitely.

The lamb shank special was a big hit, as was the seafood taglitelle pasta, lamb rib chops, mixed grill, dolmaki, lentil soup, greek salad, and the shrimp skewer. And the baklava was absolutely delish! Everyone was absolutely delighted with their meal. The wine selection was perfect and the service (Paul!) exceptional.

Great place for a romantic night, friend’s night, birthday, or just if you want some seriously delicious food with great service at a fair price. So happy you are here, L’Olive – we will definitely be back because there were so many things on the menu we want to try!

As promised, we stopped in for dinner and were not disappointed. Sat at the bar (love bar seating), and enjoyed hummus and pita for starters and the Stuffed Ravioli special and Greek Shrimp Linguini for dinner. Chef/owner was very personable and passionate about his Restaurant. Nice wine selection.

Great food, nice waiter, but the noise level at 7PM for dinner on a Saturday night made it impossible to communicate with my dinner guests. I don’t have any hearing problems, and would expect this level of loud at a bar, not an upscale restaurant. Hopefully someone from the restaurant will read this review and consult a noise expert how to soften & soundproof the restaurant, and set up ambience to encourage quiet conversations. I wish we had chosen to eat outside.

I welcome the new year with a delicious dinner and a great visit with my daughter and son in law at l’olive restaurant. The food was well prepared and the service first class. The pictures speak for themselves. Paul, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable with the menu and made our diner unforgettable. He was very attentive to our requests and provided a great service. Thank you Paul. Great place to enjoy a family gathering.

Our first visit to L’Olive Restaurant in Venice, Florida, was nothing short of spectacular, and we’re already counting the days until we can return to this local Turkish smart casual gem. Tucked away in a modest shopping plaza, this Mediterranean oasis delivered an unforgettable dining experience that exceeded every expectation, perfectly matching the glowing reviews we’d read beforehand.

From the moment we were seated, the hospitality set the tone for the evening. Our water glasses were promptly filled, and a gracious gentleman welcomed us with a warm smile, inviting us to “sit back and relax.” His genuine warmth made us feel instantly at home, and we later learned he was a part-owner, whose passion for the restaurant shone through in every detail. This personal touch elevated the experience, making it clear that L’Olive is a labor of love.

Our server, Rob, was an absolute standout and a key reason we’re eager to return. His attentiveness was impeccable—always anticipating our needs without being intrusive. Rob’s knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his enthusiasm for the dishes was contagious. He recommended the perfect pairings, from the vibrant mezze platter to the tender chicken kebab, and checked in just enough to ensure everything was flawless. His outstanding service made the evening feel truly special, and we can’t wait to be welcomed back by him again.

The food at L’Olive is a revelation—fresh, delicious, light, and bursting with flavor and hidden in the lukewarm Venice food scene. Every dish showcased the care and quality of the ingredients, from the creamy hummus drizzled with imported olive oil to the roasted red pepper
feta. The flavors were bold yet balanced, reflecting the Turkish and Mediterranean influences with authenticity and finesse. Even the pistachio baklava for dessert, as a kind birthday surprise, was a perfect balance of sweetness and crunch, leaving us savoring every bite. It’s clear why L’Olive’s raving reviews are so consistent—their product and offering are exceptional, delivering a dining experience that feels both indulgent and wholesome.

L’Olive is a true gem in Venice, and our first visit has left us wanting more. The combination of outstanding service from Rob, the gracious hospitality of the staff, and the fresh, flavorful food makes these Wellen park locals immediate loyalists. If you’re seeking a Mediterranean escape with top-notch cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere, L’Olive is a must-visit.

this place is fantastic. surprising. interior was super great, service was more than attentive, explanatory and gracious and fun! best staff ever IMO. the octopus was indeed excellent and tender – the lamb chops were perfectly cooked and delicious. lobster ravioli was extraordinary. we will def be back to try other items from the menu. only drawback is no liquor – wine and beer only. the place screams for a martini!!!

great surprise!
