I’ve been eating here for around 25 years. Their carne asada is always good and seasoned better than anywhere else. The sad thing is their burritos are about 60% of most other places. As of 8/2025, a carne asada burrito with cheese is about $12. Service can be hit or miss, but not a big deal since I mainly go for the carne asada. I stopped getting rolled tacos because they are super chintzy with toppings; order 5 rolled tacos and they give you guacamole and cheese barely enough for 2. I gotta emphasize this place is for quality carne asada and not quantity.

Decided to get something different; 1/2 order of carne asada fries for about $12. Serving size was decent for my appetite but a HUGE disappointment with the fries. They tasted like they were fried in oil that has never been changed. I’m afraid to order fries from them again.

I called to order ahead my order. After waiting a few minutes I got hung up on. I called again and was asked to wait on hold. When I arrived to pick up, I wanted to pay with my rewards, the guy was annoyed adding my number and then walked away after he added it, so I couldn’t use my rewards. Then I get my burrito and it is sliced halfway through the burrito. Just overall terrible experience

Number 8: Lolita’s Mexican Food.
This place is a gem.The burrito was huge, hot, and packed with flavorful meat and crispy potatoes. The tortilla was top-notch too. Out of the 8 places I’ve tried so far, this one takes the cake. I almost finished it before I could even snap a pic. The wait was super short, and they have a bunch of tasty sauces to choose from. It was $12, which is pretty standard for this city.
Product: 10 out of 10
The staff was super friendly and respectful. They even called me “Boss”.
Service: 10 out of 10
The cafe was super clean and had a nice vibe. It wasn’t super decorated with Mexican stuff, but it was clear they care about keeping it clean. It’s stylish and you can even sit outside and enjoy your burrito in the shade.
Ambiance: 10 out of 10

We showed up tonight about an hour before closing with a group of 40+ highschool students..I was absolutely amazed at how hospitable, smooth and delicious the whole experience was. The staff seamlessly took the individual orders, had the food out within minutes and each order was correct! Food was delicious!! Thank you Lolitas!!!

The seating configuration for dine-in guests is quite limited. I was also surprised to find that the salsa bar did not include pico de gallo, which is typically a staple and a complementary accompaniment to many Mexican and other Latin American dishes. The salsa bar did offer at least three salsas—verde and roja for sure—along with radishes and another item I can’t quite recall. While the variety was somewhat limited, I appreciated that the salsa bar was available at all, especially since many restaurants have scaled back or eliminated these offerings due to rising costs.

Im extremely disappointed with the service at the bonita location. I have been coming here for many years and everyone is very friendly but one of the girls at the register gave me attitude because I asked for Salsa for my TO GO ORDER. She rolled her eyes and gave me a speech about the salsa strictly only being for “online orders” I’ve never had an issue every single time they’ve offered Salsa. If she would’ve easily asked me to self serve the salsa it wouldn’t have been an issue but her customer service was terrible. Especially when her coworkers noticed her passive aggressive behavior

This is one of san Diegos finest taco shops. Been around for ever …not a street taco place or Birria…but if you want a traditional carne asada burrito…beef taco…enchiladas etc…this is probably the best SD has to offer. Can get crowded sometimes…so prepare to wait 15 to 20 min for your food.

I go to Lolita’s occasionally. I don’t understand what the big deal is. The food is just mediocre and overpriced for what you get.
The tortilla on the quesadillas are always soggy and not on the edge of being crispy which makes it feel like you got it to go, and it’s been sitting in your car for 2 hours( I had it in the restaurant). The chicken is Pretty Tough. It almost feels like dark meat. I will say the chips for very tasty.
and 35 minutes want for Mexican fast food is ridiculous.

Recieved my food 29 mins after ordered on Kiosk.
After talking to a manager a refund was not offered neither was a future visit credit. A Kitchen manager was then notified and still nothing happened.
Please work with your Management and team to improve your quality of service.
