Delicious homemade Mexican food. We stopped in for a quick lunch and were happily surprised with how yummy and how filling the food was. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We happened to go in on taco Tuesday. Wow. That was great! It was buy two get one free! What a great way to eat some lunch!

Messed up the order again. Ordered 3 tacos with flour tortillas, Did not receive ones with the flour tortillas. Also, what happened to being able to choose additional sauces?

Wow, has this place gone downhill! We love their fish tacos and had a craving. Ordered online last night, left a tip for pick up also, big mistake. Got out to the car and checked order(which was $55.83 before tip) I order a 4oz red sauce which was $2.59! It’s in the photos below. NO WAY is that 4 oz, I doubt it’s even 2 oz! Take a look at the “large” chips and queso that was $8.49! I went back and and asked the girl at the register if these were the correct portions for the price and she stated that they were, I said, “that’s ridiculous” and she proceeded to say, “yeah, that’s why I don’t eat here!” I was floored. Who says that to a customer? So, I left before I said something I shouldn’t. Keep in mind there were only 2 people eating in the place and one guy that picked his order up before me this was around 7:30pm on a Wednesday night. Not like they were busy and rushing orders. So to get home and open an order that I’m already pissed about….Take a look at the photo of my “veggie quesadilla add beans” which was $10.59 plus 75 cents for a side of beans which were a paste, not even whole beans. it’s literally beans and cheese with a side of beans and lettuce. NO VEGGIES IN SIGHT, NONE! Chicken tamale was dry, fish tacos were good and and my husband said the lengua was good. Never again. So disappointed because this place was one of our favorites. I think the bigger they got, the worse they got. I remember when it was just the pink place on Benjamin Rd with a limited menu. That was the best. Sad.

Honestly I am never going back! It was my first and last time stepping into the hillsborough location. I decided at last minute after walking around RED WHITE and BLUE consignment shop trying to waste time before getting my son from school to grab something to eat while I wait in the car line. By the way it was 12:55pm and there was only two other parties in Lolis tacos already sitting down eating. I walked up to the register with my order and the woman working the register was struggling to communicate the English language with me. As I asked for Rice which is on the menu as a side dish, the young woman did not have a clue what I was saying and turned around to ask a male cook in the back. I next asked for one carne asada with no onions. Lastly I asked for one order of churros with one small coke. The total came to $15.99 and I asked for my order to be To Go! As I waited for my order I noticed an older woman come in after me and asked for multiple tacos, a fountain drink and a side. The older woman paid, got a number and sat down at a table. I stood next to a table that was closer to the register with my one year old who was in his stroller so I could be ready to grab my order as soon as it was called. I waited 10 minutes before another party came in to order their meal. While that party was ordering, a man that was already in the establishment eating at a table in the corner, had gotten up and complained that the staff had forgotten to give him part of his order. Now another 5 minutes have gone by and I see a staff member carry out a larger order of food to the woman that had ordered behind me. I checked the time on my phone and noticed it said 1:17 and knew I had to leave in the next 3 minutes or I was going to be late getting my son from school which is only 2.6 miles away from the plaza. I decided to move my stroller and myself closer to the counter where the register is located and stood there for another 4 minutes before the staff handed me my food. I immediately opened my order because I could tell there was something missing and I was correct. The rice was missing. I politely told the staff even though I was already a little annoyed by how long I was waiting and the fact the person who ordered their food after I had with more food then I had got theirs before I did. The woman who took my order seemed genuinely confused when I told the staff my order was missing but they rushed and grabbed the rice. As soon as I got to my car I opened the carne asada container and my taco was ice cold! The meat felt like they had cooked it earlier that morning, put it in the fridge then just pull it out of the fridge and placed it right on an ice cold corn tortilla with ice cold onions. I figured they would have at least heated the steak back up or COOK it fresh. There was just enough meat in the taco to just cover the entire tortilla and that was me placing it perfectly around the tortilla to show everyone how much I was given especially for almost $4.00. The rice was warm and did have decent flavor but stale and got cold VERY FAST. The churros were the only item that was hot and stayed hot till I parked my car at the school a few minutes away and immediately ate as fast as I could so I could get my oldest.

Unfortunately I hate to say this or be this kind of person to put down an establishment then recommend another one on their review but I really wish I had just drove a few more minutes down the road to Tacos Las California because even if it did cost me more in gas and it’s farther away I know for a fact I would of gotten a meal that is extremely HOT, FRESH, their staff are always giving excellent service and I would of gotten my meal before people who ordered after I had within 10 minutes. Not to mention the Price would have been $14.00 with tax and a tip!

Do better Lolis Mexican Cravings!!

Good food is the main thing to say about this place, but also be prepared to spend some money. I need 5 or 6 tacos because they are small and they aren’t cheap, and they also charge extra for every little thing. You should automatically get two tortillas because the tacos will fall apart if there isn’t. Make sure you as for double tortillas even if they charge you extra for it. I’ve never had anything bad from here, but almost every taco you order will disintegrate if as you eat it if you don’t eat really fast. It’s not the best place in the world but you won’t be disappointed. Just be prepared to spend some money, also eat quickly if you don’t want paper mache tacos falling on your belly.

Before you go to this location you have to know a few things about this place. The service is garbage, $7 dollars drinks with no refill, and extremly expensive food for what you get. If you ask questions they will gather and talk s#!t about you. Believe me the prices are out of this world, I literally paid $23 dollars for 4 tacos and 1 drink. The place is at least clean but the food and service is not worth the money. I recommend you to go to another place or food truck if you’re not picky. I been to just about every Mexican restaurant in the bay area and this one is the worst by far. I will never be back , and I will make sure anyone I know will never visit this place. They probably called me cheap because I was not having it but I can’t keep it quiet when something is out of place.

I live nearby and have tried this location several times. Each time, I am left feeling frustrated but not enough to entirely stop giving them another try. Portions have always been skimpy for the price but today I am vowing I am done. Ordered a side of beans and didn’t see them. Went back in and was told they are in the box of one of the items. I go back to my car and look and find a tiny, half full container of beans. Get home, take a bit of a quesobirria taco and get only cheese. Open it to find very little meat. Make that x 3. I get times are hard but this is ridiculous.

Do yourself a favor and hit up a nearby taco truck or Tacos Las Californias on Memorial for better value.

The food is not bad, the salsa bar is excellent! Prices however are outrageous. Additionally, they advertise happy hour Tuesday, $2 beer but when I ordered they told me they didn’t have beer. I pointed out both the menu behind the counter and the table advertising but the clerk just looked at me like I was crazy. Picture attached. Atmosphere felt more like Cuban or Central American… definitely wasn’t playing ranchero or norteño music. Not worth the drive. Before someone calls me racist, we are from Chihuahua Mexico, I know Mexican food.

Hadn’t been to this location which has more seating and is nice and comfortable. Both locations have the best tacos and tamales probably in all the eastern USA. I say this having had tacos in many locations. This is a taco place you have no regrets after eating them. I hope they never change. The service is also good, very friendly.

Just moved here and was craving tacos. The flavor of the meat was so good: al pastor, steak, and chicken. The sopes were amazing. There is a sauce bar too! I found my new taco spot. Incredible
