Lively restaurant. Really good food and service. I ordered Al Pastor tacos and was surprised and happy when it came with rice and beans. The sangria was good and cocktails were well made. Definitely coming back.

Nice ambience and good spot to hang out with friends. It has a very good menu with a variety of options. The drinks were good. The jalapeno starters was good. The shrimp tacos were great and the avocado dip was amazing. The service was good too. Overall the experience was good and would recommend to enjoy yummy tacos and some margaritas.

We came to Lola’s Tacos in Gurnee based on their high ratings, but unfortunately our experience didn’t match the reviews.
The food was very bland and lacked flavor, which was disappointing considering the number of other Mexican restaurants in this area. On top of that, our table was missing utensils. When we asked for some, the server looked confused and never brought any, so one of our kids had to go grab utensils from another table.
To make things worse, our table still had a full stack of dirty plates with food from the previous guests, and no one cleared them the entire time we were there. It was unappetizing and not what you expect when going out for a meal.
Overall, we left disappointed. With about 15 other Mexican restaurants in the area, I wish we had chosen one of those instead. The atmosphere had potential, but the lack of attention to basic service and flavorless food made this a place we won’t be returning to.

First time there. The salsa is the best salsa I have ever had so if I return I will be getting that. I was with one other person and we split the “Nacho Mama Nachos” which were really good, but had the tiniest scoop of guacamole which was not impressive. The watermelon frozen margarita was the WORST margarita I have ever had and I had to send it back because I couldn’t continue to drink it and I just had water for the rest of the night. They have quite an extensive drink list so I would try a different margarita but not that one.

I ordered Lola’s beef burrito, and it wasn’t filled as described. It was more like a deconstructed burrito, and it didn’t come with the cheese sauce that was supposed to be included. When I asked about the sauce, I was given a small cup of nacho cheese instead.
The kids’ steak tacos were good, and most of the drinks were okay. However, the martini was made with tequila, which made it taste awful.
The staff was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. The food quality needs improvement. On a Friday evening, there were only about four tables occupied — hopefully the owner takes steps to improve the menu and overall experience.

Really cute place to eat. I loved that we got to sit in a pink booth! They have complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were light, which I like, and the salsa was mild and tasted freshly made. Our server was very nice and grateful for our patronage. Our orders came quickly, and we both enjoyed our food.
My husband thought they had a limited menu, but I didn’t have to look long for what I wanted.
