Lola’s was okay, like the food tasted fine but nothing to rave about. Our table had several rice and protein plates as well as enchiladas and tamales. We had a good enough variety of options to ensure this place was just “okay”. In addition we also tried a “peach” frozen margarita. This was a frozen machine Lime margarita that the lady just added a little peach flavoring to, I saw her make it as well as she did the same thing with another couples “mango” margaritas. They are not made with Jose Cuervo which is really unusual for a Virginia Mexican restaurant. The drink was not that great and I wouldn’t recommend it. The service was also just “okay” and the restrooms were mainly clean but no toilet paper when I went. I don’t think I would choose to go back to this restaurant however, if someone asked me to meet there I could go.

I was finally able to get this place delivered on doordash after several years of being unable to. The food was very warm and delivered promptly. The Nachos Con Chorizo and the Burrito with Steak Strips were both very good, but unfortunately, it was pretty salty to me. The burrito was also quite easy to reheat the next day. I also wished that the Nachos Con Chorizo contained more cheese. Other than that, the food was pretty decent and quite flavorful.

I really liked this restaurant. Food was your standard Mexican American food. But the stole from me. I made an online order for pickup. My payment said 16$ but my receipt said 19 . When I looked at my card I seen a charge for my 16 and a separate charge for a 3 dollars. Someone gave themselves a tip. I choose no tip because I was picking up the food. Bur without my consent they took a tip and I would report it but it’s cool. You lost 2 customers and y’all watch out for the tops they charging on their own

Their food and service are not as good as before. The vegetables they served to us were old, so soft and with smell already. Their server did not give our request and just walking infront of us and takes time for them to serve our food.

Lynchburg is definitely a La Carreta town but in my book Lola’s is the king when it comes to Americanized Mexican food. Not to put down La Carreta, they have their lane but I’ve been more impressed with Lola’s consistency. The staff has always been friendly and one instance solidified them in my book: I was coming back from a hike late on a Sunday evening and got there just before closing. The kitchen was already partially shutting down since there was no one else in the restaurant but the kitchen fired things up and gave me a mighty portion of huevos rancheros. Since then I’ve been a loyal customer and my family has come to love Lola’s too

Had the lunch chimi. Good lunch portion and very well done.
Their guacamole is OUTSTANDING. Simple and perfectly seasoned.
Get a side with you meal, won’t regret it.
Very clean food.. By that i mean, non oily good quality eats.
This will very much be a regular visited spot.
One of only a handful of places i’ve seen that dared to make black mole.. Must try next time.
Price is very reasonable. Veg options as well.

I normally don”t leave reviews but I was actually appalled at how poor my last experience here was. Watery kind of gross salsa and very mediocre food. The service was the most shocking part. After I got my drink and took a few sips of it I noticed there was a couple of dead flies in it. I didn’t want to make a scene so I let the waiter know there was literal dead bugs in my drink and that I wanted a new one. He didn’t care at all and begrudgingly brought me a new drink. I had lost my appetite at that point and got up to pay. I asked for my bug filled drink to be comped and the waiter was very rude, saying “But you drank some of it”. Don’t waste your time or money coming here. The food is mediocre and gross and the staff are very rude.
