I came here with my people since a friend mentioned it and several coworkers highly recommended that I go. We were not disappointed. From the service to the food, I felt so at home. Good home cooking and hospitality as you eat. The food is fresh, so be understanding of the wait time. It’s not long, but it’s most certainly worth it.
The fried pork chop nuggets were delicious! The chicken nuggets are crispy and juicy! We will definitely be back!

Good eats for sure!! Great tasting southern comfort food with Texas sized portions. The flavor was there, the prices raised a brow initially but the food made up for it in the end.
The service was very warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. Unfortunately, several others that walked through those doors were walking in and out of the kitchen. There was a sign that said employees only, but it wasn’t a clear sign everybody going in and out of there were employees. The food is good tho! Stick with me…
The parking in front of the building was pretty full but only one family inside. There were cars lined up and down the streets, but only one family dining inside. Being that this is in a residential area, some of the cars may belong to residents so don’t let that stop you from going inside. Take out orders tend to be popular here. Yall, the food is good!
I would definitely refer others looking for a low-key spot with some bomb food. I can see foodies & critics like Keith Lee blessing this spot soon. Thanks for a wonderful meal and your warm Southern welcome. Peace and blessings to the owners and staff.

We just had a feast from the Log Cabin and I am blown away all over again. This is, without a doubt, our favorite spot. I got the four-wing breakfast, pork chop breakfast, and the chicken tenders with pancakes and eggs. Every single thing was seasoned well and cooked to perfection—the wings were crispy, the pork chop was juicy, and the tenders were a hit! We also loved the creamy grits. And you absolutely cannot forget the drinks! The Grape, Lemonade, and Fruit Punch Kool-Aid were all amazing. For a consistently delicious, high-quality meal that the whole family loves, the Log Cabin is the place to go!

Ok people this is secret gem in the heart of Acres Homes. This place is not fancy but great hood food. I feel like it’s someone’s grandma cooking. I had fish and grits breakfast. Then the following Sunday I had the fish sandwich. I don’t know what I’m going to try this Sunday after church.

You feel like you are stepping into a piece of history. It is truly a neighborhood place, and there is that community feel there. Prices are so reasonable. Everybody is so friendly. This place has a soul. I grew up across the ocean where we did not eat this kind of food, but these fried chicken wings are sent from heaven. This place is special. Thank you!

2/10 do not recommend!!! I ordered two three piece fish plates. I ordered one with rice and gravy and macaroni and the other one with a salad and macaroni. They got the orders completely wrong. The macaroni was completely dry like day old macaroni, the gravy on the rice tasted like it was a package gravy. I sat there and waited 45 minutes for my food. The fish was actually decent. But it was just a horrible experience for me. A man came in and ordered a three-piece dinner 30 minutes after I did and got his plate with in 15mins. Crazy work.

Honest opinion…it’s a hard NO. I usually don’t patronize businesses that literally look like an abandoned building (see photos). In this case, I did for a very specific reason. First and foremost, the only thing good was the ketchup, soda & hush puppies. Ordered 3 wings w/fries, 3pc catfish w/fries, 1 each of sweet potato pie, lemon buttermilk & tea cakes @ 6:10pm. Didn’t get our food til literally 50 min later I actually told my friend to let them keep the $ and let’s just go. Right then, he asked for a refund, at which point the food was presented. This is after 5 people came after us, ordered and received their food before us. ZERO seasoning, lemon buttermilk was literally just lemon meringue. The sweet potato pie will have to take SEVERAL seats to the $.89 cent Pattie Labell pie. Lacked cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, vanilla extract…SOMETHING! Tea cakes taste like slightly sweetened flour. Just horrible. As for customer service Please do not come to the window with a bonnet on your head, yapping and gossiping, all the while forgetting what people ordered. And or forgetting to pass completed orders out to customers. Just tacky. ZERO professionalism. ZERO standard. ZERO couth. Judging by the reviews, either most are lying, OR just aren’t accustomed to good, southern/soul eatin’ FRFR. Bc this ain’t it. Do better, BOB!!

Such a good place. 2 plates cost less than $20 and the chicken was fresh off the fryer. Chicken wings and stripes were the best I’ve ever had. The pancakes were so fluffy and soft. Definitely will be back soon. Make sure to order I’m advance because it did take 40 minutes to get our food, but it was worth every minute.

Great job Log Cabin… I got great service and food in a part of town I least expected to. I’m right around the corner, 4 mins away and the customer service is ️
They let you know as soon as you order the wings, it’ll be at least 20 mins before your order will be ready….
You know what that means….. They’re gonna be fresh, CRISPY WINGS…. They were pretty good, and flavorful….perfectly battered, fried perfectly golden, crispy and crunchy….it just needed a little more seasoning.
